Until next season, I'm going to give you a little introduction to the clubs.

I am happy with the return of this club because it has a large audience (especially in the stadiums of the opponents), warm and not at all hateful. I hope it will be a good season.

FC Lorient is a fairly discreet club. During its last passage in L1, the club was trained by Christian Gourcuff who practiced a pleasant technical game, but often stagnated in the middle of the classification.

Nîmes has few supporters but they are very warm despite a pristine record (he has won some minor competitions). This club has my sympathy thanks to the city which conceals an important heritage dating from the Roman Empire, the club has also used two symbols on its coat of arms. He had a difficult season because of a strange transfer window (he sold all of these midfielders).

For a few years, thanks to its former coach Christophe Galtier, the club was a regular candidate for European qualification. But the club failed to recover from his departure. The level of the team dropped until finishing 17th despite the arrival of coach Claude Puel. The public remains warm enough, but it's not like before.

Dijon is a recent club with no significant history. But the city is quite pretty and is the historic capital of Burgundy, a famous medieval power.

A small club which plays fairly regularly in L1. Metz is the capital of Lorraine. Slightly dilapidated stage, but fortunately a renovation / enlargement is in progress.

Quite popular club at the tip of the Brittany peninsula. The very rotten stage will soon be replaced by a vaguely new, Kinder Sorpresa egg-shaped stage.

Large French club, but fairly discreet. Despite the length of its track record, the club ranks a large and welcoming public. He created the "Nantes style game", in his big time, made of short passes. Unfortunately, he gave way to alphabetic logos for the mentally handicapped.

Having its headquarters in a castle, the club is considered very bourgeois, moreover the city is also very much so. It is really beautiful, almost everything is beautiful, including the stadium. Unfortunately, the club has become almost anonymous since its good course in the Champions League 2009-2010, except for a discreet victory in the Coupe de France in 2013. I have the impression that we are wasting the potential of this club.

It is a small club with no honors but fairly regular in the middle of the classification thanks to the longevity of its coach. The audience is quite noisy but also hisses a lot.

I have sympathy for this club because Strasbourg is the capital of a region (Alsace) solid in its cultural and historical identity, with one of the warmest audiences in France. Especially since my mother's paternal line is from Alsace. We need this kind of club. In addition, it is the seat of the European Parliament, and I like this kind of symbol. The club is experiencing a real "return to the top" after having been administratively relegated in 2011 to CFA 2, the fifth national level.

The club's return to L1 was followed by a short-lived return to the golden age. Since then, the club has become average, the style of play sometimes changes drastically from season to season. This season: 2nd offense, 16th defense. It has a nice stadium that fits perfectly in the city, but very small, with an amorphous crowd. It is a somewhat special club.

The club won the L1 2013 to everyone's surprise, in front of the Qatari PSG. But despite this, the stadium continues to be half empty and fairly silent. Why are the people of Montpellier not more proud of their beautiful but too underrated city?

French stadiums are cool, the Bordeaux one looks astonishing.

For some reason always had a soft spot for Marseilles and Sochaux.

Even if the club is no longer what it was in the 2000s, the club remained in the first quarter of the ranking, still qualifying for one of the phases of European competitions ... until the current season where Lyon finished 7th after having struggled for several months. Fortunately, the atmosphere has often been good at the stadium, the old as well as the new.

It is one of the first major French clubs, the first finalist in the Champions League. The city cathedral hosted the coronation of the kings of France. In short, Reims, despite its small size, is a historic city in France. After a long period in the lower divisions, the club has managed to stabilize at about the top level.

I have a lot of sympathy for this club. A beautiful coat of arms, a beautiful jersey, a beautiful stadium not very numerous but quite noisy, a beautiful city with a strong local culture. In my youth, I made two memorable trips there. The club has recently by the richest man in England Jim Ratcliffe, and it will invest a lot (80M €). This is all the more good news that the club will participate in the Europa League.

Frankly, I don't know what to say about this club. He managed to be regular until his 2011 title. Then he had his new stadium (very bland design). Since then, its results have been very irregular.
