But from where we stand I'm sorry, I don't care how their fanbase or maybe even those who make the decisions financially within the club might feel about what was spent on Bassey... but to get us reading emails or taking calls, bidding starts at £25 million and 10% sell on fee of any future transfer.

He's an excellent young talent and I've no doubt in my mind that the machine Ajax have in place would mean he would be reaching new levels in his game

 

Everton don’t have any money, they have breached FFP and by the looks of it they might get a transfer ban.

 

Ajax would be a sensational move.

Sell him for £15m+ and replace him with someone better for a third of the price. Everyone's happy.

Aye for the first time in my life it seems we're actually properly trying to be a proactive selling club. Jura and Giako we didn't get top dollar but if Ajax are interested Abada should be at least £15m.

I'm confident with Ange in charge we could get better for a third of that. Lots of good young attacking talent around for that kind of money.

Really don't want to lose this boy, I think he's gonna be a phenomenal player. But obviously if the contract rumours are true then it looks like he wants to move on. Fair do's, but I would not accept anything less than £20 million.

 

Wish him good luck, if we get a good transfer fee. I will remember him fondly, especially his goals against them.

We can reinvest in the squad where needed.

In all seriousness right wing would be my number one outfield position to strengthen in the summer.

 

20 million or the * can * off. He’s a good player Abada, certainly not irreplaceable though. We could get a good replacement for 4/5m.

 

Aye, for me too. Right winger and an 8 are the two priorities for me, followed by a goalie.

That Buchanan was excellent in spells at the World Cup Already plays for Club Brugge though...

 

Was it benefica and Fernandez that they bought and sold for like triple the price within the same season recently? World cup shot him right up.

I'm not expecting to get that level of money for Abada, of course not.
But if a side like Ajax (on a level with Benfica in many ways) is interested, then you expect they are looking for a similar situation. Buy Abada for 15+ million, but a hefty sell on % as they'll be looking to sell him within 2 seasons for 40mill or more.
And at a club like Ajax, they could bring out more of his ability and have a platform that the top clubs are willing to spend that sort of money on without thinking too much.

Really like Abada, fortunately however unlike previous seasons we're in a position now where a single player doesn't make or break this team (Bar CalMac) so if we can get good money, I've full faith that it'll be spent wisely
