Think we can get another season from abada. His numbers are terrific and still has a massive part to play in this squad.

So can someone point out to me the part where he has actually rejected a contract extension or has indeed even been offered one?

He has loads of potential but I can't help but feel his clumsiness and mediocre dribbling ability will hold him back.

I've said it before but the player he reminds me of is a budget Raheem Sterling - a player I never really took to because of the same deficiencies Abada has.

I don't see the comparison tbh. Sterling is a way better dribbler. Abada is a way better finisher. They are both fairly mobile though. In all honesty, I'm relatively low on Abada. Agreed that his lack of dribbling ability holds him back. He's more of a finisher rather than a creator, but he's far too undersized to play at centre forward. I'd expect more creation ability from a winger.

Should start every few games. If he's leaving, a few more goals to his name will help get his price tag up. If not, we keep a good player on the books that should get better.

He's been unlucky, not had as many minutes purely because of Maeda's form. Missing that chance against Madrid set him back mentally imo, if that goes in he'd have been absolutely flying.

With regards 'knocking back an extension', it's not worth even thinking about at this stage. There's plenty of time for that to get sorted. Hopefully we can tie him down as he's an exceptional talent, but if not then am sure we'll find a replacement, although would be difficult to get someone as young who produces the numbers he does.

I think it's fair to say he's improved as a player in the time he's been here and there's no reason to think that won't continue. Not sure how high his ceiling is but he's proven himself here and will only get better.

    Agreed..

He's a good player but far too often looks amateurish out wide. Sloppy touch. Struggled to commit and beat his man. Crossing woeful. He makes excellent runs and is a pretty lethal finisher most of the time though..

I think he will be one of the ones to move on this summer. Hopefully get a good fee. It's an area I think we can improve in..

If were being ruthless, i think he's the prime candidate to punt for a good fee. Yes his numbers are great, but there's just something about him that I cant take to. His numbers and age should mean we get a substantial fee for him, but if push came to shove he'd be the one id offload to fund new recruits.

Agree! His RF qualities are very good. Dangerous in front of goal, but we need one better as a winger than him imo. Should cash in on him :50:

Hopefully gives him the boost he needed. Excellent 45 minutes from him.

He's going to match his output from last season.

In the league alone he's only 1 goal shy of matching goals scored
