No idea how good he is and to be honest I was hoping for more experience. However he is a left sided defender and we are crying out for them. Hope he is as good as some say.

    Welcome Liam.

He looks pretty good. At 23 he’s got to be first team surely?

    Welcome to Celtic!

With 23 no talent anymore so I expect him to be at least as good as Welsh. Otherwise this signing would be stupid and useless.

C'mon Liam! Give us a good time !

The best player in the LOI is 100% being signed as a first team player. It's not a terrible league at all, Rovers would do alright in Scotland like.

It's not stupid and useless if we are signing him primarily as a LB that can cover at CB.

hope this is not one of the cheap bulk up the squad "bodies" that is no where near good enough, who ends up costing us a small fortune with getting very little games over 4 years

we dont need prospects and weve by and large been * recognising good ones that can make a good fist of it in our first team bar a few players

we need players to walk right into the team as we are really weak in certain areas primarily the back and might be weak up front in the near future too

good luck to you hope you can do a good job at whatever your primary position is and we get someone else in for the other hole at the back

Wil be interesting. He can play left back but at least at Shamrock Rovers his best position was as a centre back. Now certainly with Jullian still aways away and Starfelt yet to show he can get to the required standard we needed to sign another centre back. But is Scales the answer I have to say IMHO probably no. I hope I am wrong but IMHO he is a fair way down from the level of Ajer or Jullian.

Some make it though and the ones that do pay for all the rest. Like Ajer, Wanyama and Frimpong alone. Then theres the Rogne, Mulgrew, Matthews, McCourt, Rogic, Christie who became decent players for a while at least.

They well pay for all the McGinn, Morgan, Janko, Scott Allan, Riordan ones.

He can’t be worse than Starfelt.

600k no brainier to be fair and seemed highly rated.

    Hauld up!

I am only just realising that he spent only a season at Shamrock Rovers and before that he was playing for his Uni side while doing his studies!

That changes a lot of my cynicism I had about his age and why he hasn't been scouted by an English club by now.
Clearly education was his priority, so fair *.

    600k, can't go too wrong.

how many year ago was wanyama now ?, frimpong was a fluke every celtic fan was shocked the amount we got offered for him and man city took a big slice of that fee didnt they

these guys low transfer fee gambles actually end up costing us a lot in wages when weve signed them 4 seasons plus the small 500k to 2m transfer fee, we really need to get a grip on it it costs us far more than it pays us is my opinion of it all

look at that striker position over the years the amount of pure dross weve brought in and barely gave them the consistent run outs player needs and we end up paying them off to get shot of them

face doesnt fit or werent bought by the manager and there banished to the never never land not to be seen till we pay them off early or give them away for nothing

we need to run things properly like a normal football club, its honestly a shambles and i really hope this guy is an ajer not one that is gonna never be in contention only sign guys that are first team playable couldnt give a * about the young team

    Wish him the very best.

Will be stunned if he plays more than 20 times in the next 3 years, before going to Rochdale.

Need him to hit the ground running, and there is a * of an opportunity for him to grab that LB position.
I like what I have seen of him so far, big, strong, a goal in him too, he is match fit right now, so none of this 18 months "bedding in *".
So I think he will get a fair crack of the whip in what is, right now, a problem position for us.
600K is not a big deal really, considering we spunked over 5M on Boli and GT.

£600k is * all for us, so if he does well it's a bargain, if not then it's not a huge loss.
