Still don't see what so many do with him.

McGregor is a far superior player.

Different players really, McGregor is good going forward driving with the ball, good ball control and can chip in with goals.
Henderson is better defensively and positionally, same as McGregor can keep the ball moving in the middle but Henderson is a smarter player. Also is great from dead balls and good passing range, not feart of a tackle.

It will be easier to judge him if he plays a run of games. We have a tonne between now and January so he's likely to get a few opportunities.

I thought he was quiet enough yesterday but still believe there's a very good player in him.

I've yet to see Henderson the smart positionally aware defensive midfielder personally.

What I see is a guy who has good technique and some potential that is vastly over hyped because of 1 pass he made a year ago.

To be fair he played regular enough around that period, mainly from the bench but he always looked bright. Can remember him scoring on a few occasions as well.

He has a long way to go in his development, I always say it but 20 is very young for a central midfielder at this level.

I wouldn't say he's over hyped and am basing my opinion on what I saw yesterday, for the little football he's played since last season he looked good. Opinion on him seems to be split just now.

He's definitely over hyped, there was a large number of people wanting him to play regularly then he got a game yesterday and suddenly everyone wants Bitton back.

As I said, I think McGregor is a far better player with a lot more to his game.

I thought he was alright. Didn't seem any better or worse than Bitton usually is.

Really don't get the "hype" with him. I still don't know what type of midfielder he is, or wants to be. Is he a Brown type, box to box? Does he prefer being more of a number 10? Does he like to sit back and spray passes like Bitton?

McGregor is better and even he is average as *.

He has been overhyped from day one on here. Future Celtic captain , new Paul Mcstay and * knows what else. I think he did fairly well at Hibs but was outshone by John Mcginn in a league that made Scott Allan look like Paul Scholes.

Thought he gave a good account of himself. Nice and tidy, few good bits of link up play.

Like him as a player, think he can go on to have a decent career.

Saw this on KDS and it pretty much sums up my thoughts on Henderson.

"Has no real attributes. No real power, no real pace. Not a brilliant passer either, set pieces are crap.

    He's just average."

Thought he was one of our better players on the night, showed more than McGregor or Christie. Odd that he played the Bitton role v Motherwell and then Sinclair's role against County though.

Where exactly is his best position?

Thought he played well but not well enough to stake a claim in the team.

It must be frustrating for the likes of him and Christie. They are clearly decent footballers but their opportunities are few and far between and when they do get game time they really need to stick out, otherwise they are guaranteed to find themselves on the bench again the following week. Its even more difficult for them seeing as they aren't as match fit as those who are playing almost every week.

I completely agree. Barring obviously Roberts, i thought he was the best out of the other fringe boy's..

I know he skied it but quite liked his attitude of taking the freekick off of Griff, who is a big character and senior player..

Showed some lovely link up play, some very neat, deft touches in and around the box and was finding space. Fell off but thought he was good, to a point, but agree with Deebo.... Not nearly enough to be banging on the door..

I'd say his favoured position has to be central, as he's not quick enough. In the hole (which won't happen, or in a midfield 3 as the furthest forward..

Not a brilliant passer? Don't think he misplaced a pass, played a cracking pass into Griffiths 1st half, he's not a winger and definitely should play in the middle. Think him and Armstrong would be a well balanced midfield partnership.
Brendan likes him a lot, says it all really the boy has talent.

Honestly don't see what some do in Henderson. He's bang average and is physically shocking. No pace, strength or stamina.

Ajer, McGregor, Christie, Armstrong etc. are far better players.

Armstrong has far more in his locker, Christie has more potential as well. Early days with Ajer but I'd like to think he'll be much better. McGregor is another who I don't rate whatsoever.

But I agree with the first part. Henderson doesn't seem to stand out in any area. He's a bang average player.

I haven't heard anybody calling for Biton coming back. You got to be joking.

No he is not. The reverse is true.
Henderson is far more consistent and can at least tackle. McGregor is over hyped and has one good game in four as far as I can see.
