He's not interested in a move to Hibs. From what I've been told.

    Baffling.

He's miles away from being good enough for us.

We have enough cover in the midfield now and it's time for him, at his age, to move on and play games regularly. Somone likes Hibs or Aberdeen should be all over trying to get him on a permanent deal. Would like him to stay in Scotland and see him grow because I think there is a decent player in there somewhere, just not to our level.

HIBS are working on a deadline day swoop for fan favourite Liam Henderson.

The 21-year-old is available after reluctantly admitting that his first-team chances at Celtic are going to be limited this year, despite impressing when called upon by Brendan Rodgers.

SunSport understands Preston North End couldn’t agree terms with the Hoops over a permanent deal, but at this stage Rodgers is open to the idea of a loan.

He rates Henderson highly but simply has no room for him at the moment given the wealth of options the Bhoys boast in that area of the pitch and he’s keen to see him enjoy regular action.

Henderson is a hero to the Hibs support after his part in their 2016 Scottish Cup triumph and he returned to Easter Road in the summer to take in Lewis Stevenson’s testimonial.

Hibs asked about Henderson earlier in the summer to no avail, but talks have resumed off that could yet see the supporters land the name they crave more than any other.

He might not want to, but I think Hibs would no doubt have interest in him and personally I'd say its the best move for him.

Guaranteed starts, a top notch manager, playing beside talented players like McGinn and Stokes, and it's a "big" club that is on the rise and trying to build something.

Get the feeling that he want's to ply his trade down in England tho. Preston would be a good move but I think he's better than that tbh.

Hibs is the perfect move for Henderson.

He already knows the club, the set up, the manager, the players.

The fans love him, and it gives him a chance to play the season in the top league in Scotland - and still impress Rodgers should his performances dictate it.

Go on son, you know you want to be with Lenny for another wee bit...

He definitely does want to go down South.

Doesn't seem like he's going to get that kind of move this window though. Might be in his best interests to go back to Hibs and get his stock back up.

Firstly given how far he is down the pecking order in our midfield at the moment it probably is time for him to make a permanent rather then a loan move. I was thinking when he didn't make any starts even when we made massive changes for the Kilmarnock games that it was time up for him at Celtic. A move to Hibernian would be a no brainer as he could hit the ground running so to speak knowing the club and team and with Neil Lennon in charge they are a club on an upward trend so it might be a good time for him to make that move as well. Even if he really wants a move south moving to Hibernian and getting regular first team football for a couple of seasons might be his best way of making that happen too.

Can't see him getting in that midfield ahead of McGeouch or McGinn and the boy Slivka looks some talent.

Tbh mate, you'd have probably said the same about Jackson Irvine, who we let go of in 15/16 and he would have been about the same age as Hendo is now.

How many said the same thing about people seeing he had something at the time?

Hull have just signed him for £2 million.

    Know what I'm saying?

Should go and do a Calum McGregor and light up League 1 if he really does think he's good enough.

I personally have been baffled about the buzz around him for so many years and I've said so on here a few times. He can strike a dead ball and he has some fancy looking flicks, that's it.

    Not really, naw.

Jackson Irvine isn't and wasn't ever good enough either.

I agree on that but he's just been bought for £2 million from an English championship team so he must have something in their eyes.

You're having a go about people wanting Henderson to stay here but when you see prices of £250k being branded about for him and Jackson just went for near enough 10 times that amount, you can see why some may want to keep hold and would maybe rather see him go out on loan again.

Where am I having a go at anyone?

He's out contract next summer and has had one half decent season in the Scottish Championship in the 3/4 years of his career.

Irvine got a move down south and impressed in that league. Henderson has sat on his * for year. The fact we're supposedly only looking for £300k and no ones taking him kind of tells it own story.

He has been linked with quite a few English club's to be fair. Blackburn was supposedly 1 recently..

He needs to go but I've always been a firm believer that we shouldn't just let most of our better kid's go for peanuts..

I do think that mindset is and will be changing..

He had a half decent season in the Scottish championship. He wasn't even a standout in a league with part time teams.

And at Rosenborg he started a few cup games. He barely started in the league and the manager criticised his fitness.

All my point was, was that Henderson is still young, like Irvine was and we've had people talking about both the same way... They're not good enough or some saying we should keep them.

It's easy to judge but how many times you seen Henderson play? Baring in mind, he's only 21/22? Why "can't you believe the amount of people still think he has a chance here"?
