Not happy with all the sack Lenny if we don't win the league.yet it would be a massive failure since the Huns are really bad but I can't be * with someone coming in and ripping our team apart again.big difference being I like most players in our team compared to last year

Neil Lennon is Celtic manager today and will probably be Celtic manager for years to come. I don't accept what the so called friend of a friend is supposed to have said. He will not walk away, and he most certainly will not be asked to leave.
He has shown that he has the ability to spot a player, and to put a winning team together. He has a good management team around him and he has the support right behind him. Stop all this negativity, now.

Will be gutted if lenny leaves but don't think he will.
Done a great job imo whether we win the league or not.
How is the calderwood story weird? Lenny probably didnt rate him as a manager and, having seen hibs this season, i can see why.

he should stay no matter what, hes built a very good team and theres a real togetherness about the players, weve also played some of the best football ive seen in years and if we didnt pick up a couple of injurys to kayal hooper etc i think we would have the league won already. you have to remember at the start of the season we were hevily experimenting with players still , we had the likes of fortune and samaras up front with loovens hooiveld at centre back.

I don't like this attitude of "If we don't win the league the manager should be sacked" that seems to have crept in over the last decade. What sort of attitude is that?! It's a fact of life that you cannot win the League EVERY season. I think some modern football fans need to learn to accept that.

I now want Neil Lennon to stay on as our manager even if we win nothing this season. It would be a sore one to lose the league at this late stage, and it would be devastating if we lost the Scottish Cup Final as well, but I think Neil Lennon has done a splendid job this season overall.

The way Neil Lennon has rebuilt the squad, rebuilt the self belief in the team, gave us back a style of football that is good to watch, stood up to the media and kept doing his job well in the face of death threats, letter bombs etc has been hugely impressive. Considering this is his first ever season as a football manager, and he's managing a club like Celtic where you're expected to win every game, I'd go as far as to say the job he's done has been amazing.

For me it would be self defeating for us to throw the baby out with the bathwater and sack Neil Lennon if we don't win the League this year. The man deserves our support after the job he's done this season and he most certainly has mine.

There's only one Neil Lennon! :shamrock:

He'll stay. I know this because he told us. Numerous times. It isn't rocket science :56:

Unless of course the board think differently....which they won't.

This pretty much how I see it, a bit of stability for a few seasons would be great, slowy building momentum with an ever improving team with all the experience gained to maybe take us to the next level.:50:

After watching Motherwell it certainly looks like the Scottish Cup is in the bag, however we have not won anything yet!

Presently the Celtic team, have an average hesitant type rookie like goalie, we have suspect central back defenders, and not sure which two are the best, we have a midfield that is chopped and changed and there we dont even know what the best permutation is, upfront its anybodys guess who should be playing and with whom in combination if not a lone striker, we were a disgrace in Europe, we play in a third rate league and our major competition is from a Rangers team that is poor by their standards.
For me the Scottish Cup is in the bag, but not to win the SPL title I would have to put the responsibility on Lenny, for even tomorrow theres no telling what the Celtic lineup will be, and anybody that says that is not a factor has no understanding of the value of the continuity and consistancy a regular fitba team period!

horses for courses ,not every game can be won in the same manner ,your being extremely negative and pretty harsh with your summing up from this season.

No need to ask if your glass is half empty or half full is there

Fraser Forster's been excellent this season
The back four has done better than they've been given credit for
We DO know what our best midfieled is, it's - Brown - Kayal - Ledley - Commons
We DO know what our best strikeforce is. It's Hooper and Stokes.

Your analysis of how we're doing this season is hypercritical imo.

Why have you guys ignored the fact that we play in a third rate league, watching Motherwell today for example was a joke.
Our statistics this season speak for themselves in a third rate league.
We were a disgrace in Europe!
Rangers are a poor fitba team, by and large, although they did surprise me in Europe with their extremely negative fitba and a top goalie.
Telling me what Celtics best team is and the best players is one thing, but thats my point, what will the lineup be?
Anyhoo as I have said we have not won anything yet!
