"IT'S A CONSPIRACY"....
I think the physio's need to take some blame, AND the coaching staff, the amount of injuries we get is * shocking... -
something is not right this season has been the worst for injuries that i can ever remember, get it sorted before it ruins our season then again they have the same training pitches as us and dont have the same injuries as us

Something is up though because I can't even remember the last time we had injury problems the way we are having them now. Whether the physio's are trying to rush some players back too soon or not who knows. I don't like hearing about injuries being a reason why a team isn't playing well though because it can be used as an excuse BUT I think in our case it's a definite factor.
Izaguirre, El Kaddouri (or was he just cup ties last night?), K. Wilson, M. Wilson, Mulgrew, Loovens, Brown, Ledley, Ki(?), Bangura all out currently and with other players who have BEEN out so far this season Cha, Rogne, Commons, Kayal & Hooper. I mean we have practically a WHOLE team currently out at the moment so mix that with the players who are just coming back then it's a BIG factor.
All these injuries and it's only 4th November :31: -

I was thinking this last night, something has got to be wrong somewhere for us to get so many injuries. It is now getting beyond a joke and someone somewhere must be accountable. Every time a player goes down i fear the worst.

They should really start making use of the indoor facilities, especially as we're now in November and the weather is only going to get worse between now and February/March. -

Can't have it both ways.
We cried out to get these artificial pitches for years and for our own training facilities.
I don't buy it, these surfaces are used throughout Europe. -
Maybe its not the pitch but the way they are training? Perhaps the warm ups are not comprehensive enough or something? I mean the way you are most likely to injure yourself is working out without warming up? Maybe training is not as strict as it should be

Speaking as a physio who works in professional football, it is rarely the physio's call when a player comes back. If the manager thinks the players fit then he will play. I imagine the injuries are down to the increased training intensity that we are doing due to underperformance this season.

Could it not be down to some of the players as well though. They feel that they are ok, they are moving ok and training well and no ill-effects from an injury they have recovered/recovering from, but get injured in the next match again. I know the final decision should be the manager/physio though but possibly the player himself feels that he's ok and actually isn't.
It could be just a whole mix of things including * bad luck as well.

The same thing happened to the other lot when they moved to Murray park. No reason for it at the time and it just seemed to settle down so it will hopefully be the same with us.

I don't believe this. Sure they have to look at it, but I don't think it will be the case. I'm an engineer and get a lot of work out the Highland Spring water company in Lennoxtown. I've seen the training ground so many times and it is immaculate. Every other team in the SPL dream of training on these kinds of pitches.

We have 7 injuries. One is impact which obviously the medical staff and Lennoxtown can't take the blame for but 6 injuries in 2/3 months? It's absolutely ridiculous.

Idioteque I’ll laugh until my head comes off
did we not train here last season?

I think someone mentioned this in another thread about our pre-season preperation. This in my view is the potential source for the number of injuries, to be certain of ther cause you need to have the full facts in reagrds to the situation.
We played in Austrailia, then Ireland, Wales and also some home friendlies.
Take the time spent in Austrailia, would be interesting to analyse.
Which players were injured and what type of injury did they sustain?
What was the amount of travelling time over that period?
The amount of game time did the squad members have?
Now I don`t doubt for a minute that the people employed within the club in this aspect are naive or incapable of performing their job. The majority of players (outwith Izzaguire ,Bangura and Brown for different reasons) who have minor strains and pulls which have resulted in longer term absence. Is their any connection with the pre-season and the result of the re-occurance of the types of injury. From the outside and with only minor knowledge on the subject, it looks as if what were originally minor knocks have eventually through time and other factors developed into more serious injuries. -
Its the managers really, not understanding about recovery times. In the few occasions I have seen a physio go against the managers request and say this player isnt playing.....bye bye physio:bbpd: -
This is defo not a coincidence, needs looking into.
