I would rather give Neil Lennon till the end of the season than Tony Mowbray! Remember Ricky Sabriga Came in for sunderland at the end of a season and kept them in the EPL...! If Lenny can close the gap win the Scottish Cup and Hump the huns in the final old firm game i would gladly give him the job!!!

I have no problem with bringing lennon in, apart from the cup we have nothing to lose!
lets see what he can do!

What is it with people on here? He's only here for half a season and people are saying it was a bad choice. Usually when a manager gets sacked someone already involved in the club comes in as caretaker manager.
At least till the end of the season, we have to get behind Lennon. Then, unless he does really well, we will look for someone suitable and permanent.

Lennon as caretaker Manager is in my eyes the best option available to us. If he can win the Scottish Cup and the last OF game I would seriously consider him as a more long term manager. That being said I think the board should be looking at other options and be ready to move for the right man (If its not Lennon) as soon as the season is over, whilst keeping it as under wraps as possible from the press.

Lennon is the obvious and correct decision. Last night's shambles was as much about lack of motivation as anything else. Reminded me of the Mars Bar years.

As a player Lennon marshaled the team on the park - that's what we need now. Our pool (with the exception of Samaras) is second to none in the SPL. We need organisation and motivation. Lennon has demonstrated he has both.

Next year... who knows. Why would a manager with ambitions in the EPL want to come here? It's not only Celtic that needs rebuilding - it's the whole of Scottish Football.

Not a lot to be honest. He could well win the Scottish Cup and cut the gap down a bit, but you don't expect the cabin boy to steady a ship in the storm.

The board should get to work on getting Mark Hughes or Avram Grant up here :50:

Kenny Dalgleish took over as liverpool manager while he was still playing, Graeme hunfuck souness took over at hunville while he was still playing and both of them done pretty good so why do most people giving out that we have appointed our former captain and leader as an interm manager. lets all get behind lenny .the damage has already been done so whats the worst that can happen? i for 1 will be cheering him on the exact same way as i cheered every manager inc Barnes. and lastly i feel sorry for big Tony would loved to seen him be succesful but unfortunatly it ewasnt to be- Best of luck big man

Be a better shout than touting Neil Lennon for a long-term appointment. Ian Durrant springs to mind.

Mogga's tenure was a gruesome and painful one.handing the league to Rangers without even a whimper and a poor UEFA Cup run, if you can even call it a 'run'. selling our top goalscorer bemused me. he should of gone long before this imo. the humiliation last night wasn't the last nail in the coffin it was the groundsman tending the grave.

Celtic better take there time in finding a replacement and go for someone sports some sort of evidence of taking us forward. it's not like we're fighting for the league and i feel Lennon will have the fire and passion to carry us towards the cup.

    complete shambles.

Lennon can't be much worse than Mowbray. He should have no pressure on his shoulders for the remainder of this season.
