Even if they do expect a fight, they'll be getting more of a fight than they're expecting. :50:

Something interesting I noticed in the article:
Another McDonald/Craven situation? Lenny is adamant that he was calm and reasonable when he spoke to Murray, which is presumably what Brines' report says. Murray's report presumably accuses Lenny of aggressive and abusive behaviour, which is why the charge is being pushed through. So if Lenny's version of events is correct, that to me suggests that Murray is pushing his version of events through to get Lenny punished for something he didn't do.
With regards to the other charges, I expected him to get charged for his (perfectly justified) reaction after the Hearts game. Fine. Any more than 4 games, though, in light of what Pressly did would be extreme. No way should he be charged for his after match comments against Killie. Roberto Martinez said almost exactly the same thing after Chelsea v Wigan and got nothing. Fact is the decision was criminal. Why should Lenny not be allowed to say that? If anyone in any other industry was as incompetent as referees generally are then there's no way they'd have a job for long. Only referees have that luxury position where not only can they keep their jobs, but their blunders are defended by their bosses. It's just ludicrous. And also, since this 17 match ban would be for various charges, should the bans for all those different incidents not run concurrently, in accordance with the precedent set last season? In which case it would only be 4/5 matches.

Remind me..how much games did Craig Brown get banned for after scrapping with the Motherwell chairman? Oh that's right, he didn't.

Hopefully they do so we can further prove that there is a anti-Celtic bias in the the SFA.

He won't get a 17 game ban. If he does we should leave the league and Scotland behind because that would be absolutely pathetic.

Embarrassing attitude shown by some supporters. He had every right to be angry, it was clear as day that the referee cheated us. He shouldn't serve any more the Pressley did and I'm sure we'll bring his case up if Neil receives the wrong amount.

When will we know the outcome?

Almost a banker the SFA will try and hammer Lenny and although I don't think he'll get a 17 game ban I wouldn't be surprised if they impose 8-10. If that happens I would expect the club to take the SFA to task and fight this.

my bet is they will do it soon knowing that Celtic will appeal then will wait until as near the end of the season as possible, thus us starting with no manager in the dugout next season.

would not surprise me one bit tbh, they have been waiting all season for lenny to go off on one and the latest one would push even a cool head guy to the brink.

Maybe the SFA should be looking at their own decisions first before dealing with lennon.

If a player makes a mistake, he is banned same with a manager, why the * if your a ref and make mistakes nothing happens ? Just as bad as goal line technology imo.

    Will never happen.

That being said, if it did and our appeals were thrown out, I think Lenny would walk anyway.

But.....won't happen so it's all hypothetical.

Exactly. Why are officials above being punished/demoted for incompetence? Why are Scottish officials in particular so sensitive to any suggestion of a lack of "integrity"?

One need only look at Dougie McDonald last season to see why Celtic fans in particular have absolutely no faith in Scottish referee's.

Maybe the refs should address the problem of alleged bullying within their own ranks before seeing fit to comment on anybody else's perceived shortcomings.

Nothing the SFA do would be surprise me :31:

Lenny's option is to not put himself in these situations, love the man and his passion but as i said on a different post he needs a chill pill! He's been through * so i can understand his reactions but he's got to stop giving these fu*ks the rope to hang him with.

a 17 game ban?? absolutely laughable , when have you ever heard of such a long ban . could span 5 months of spl games , rio ferdinand was banned for 8 for coke .....

and for what , having a pop at an incompotent official at the final whistle ..if he ran on to the pitch during the game i would maybe expect a groundbreaking ban .

if this ban happens , it would ´show once again how anti celtic the establishment really is . there would be no precedent to set such a ban , and any half decent legal team would rip the * out of the sfa for it , and it would never be served . not justifiable.

why should he do nothing he sees what he considerers an injustice against his team and has every right to go mental could anybody in that situation say they wouldn't do the same and before people bring up this argument of its cause he is a fan and he should detach himself sorry but thats bull its because its his team of players that he has brought together and been through so much with and I would expect that reaction from any manager

    I'm not picky.
    Think it's on Thursday.

It's all Timmy paranoia though and Lennon brings it on himself :87:

Anything the Daily Ranger says I take with a barrel load of salt but even if it was true that he was facing a 17 match ban how would that be justified in any way shape or form? Even IF people agree with a ban on Lennon for him being "an embarrassment" (as son fans so eloquently put it) it should be nowhere near that much.

As previously highlighted by other posts, how is it other managers can say things about the ref, get in their faces and react angrily and yet get off with it all? *, Craig Brown went to ASSAULT another club's chairman and he didn't even get a * WARNING and yet Lennon is supposedly facing a 17 match ban?

If any of this is true I hope to * Celtic rips the SFA apart once again, especially with the rumour about Brines and Murray's reports being different.

The thing is they already have the rope. They only wait for any little reason to hammer Lennon how they can before using it.

Remember, we're on about an association that tried to actually go against their OWN rulings to try and give Lennon a consecutive ban instead of a concurrent ban last season. It was Paul McBride (RIP :shamrock:) that found that out and ripped the SFA a new one.

They are a bitter bunch and just look for any reason(s) to hammer Lennon any way they can.

Have we not been here before with this 17 game ban, I believe the only manager to get such a significant ban was Jim McInally at East Stirling (10 games if I`m right). The difference between East Stirling and Celtic is that we can financially back our case with legal minds.

I look forward to what now seems a personal crusade to try and meat out a punishment to Neil Lennon.

For those who don`t think this is personal you only need to look at the comments from the Dougal and Dallas. Yes, they have nothing to do with the SFA but have great influence on the current clones officiating our game. Nothing has changed since Dallas left bar him not being their on a daily basis; these are still his chosen few that are reffing games.

Celtic showed them up with Dougie McDonald and then when they tried to bend the rules with Neil Lennon`s bans. Publicly embarrassed for their amateurish running of the game and had a stirke which saw no effect on the games; those foreign refs whom attended were welcomed by both sets of fans(warm applause from both sets of supporters at all games played). Don`t tell me that anyone wouldn`t be holding a grudge in any walk of life after being humiliated to such an extent.
