He'll not quit, he loves it here. This is mountain out of a molehill stuff, he's as angry as the rest of us after today, but he knows as well as anyone how much the fans love him. He's one of the most popular managers we've ever had.

I see what you're saying but I don't think anyone expects Lennon won't be criticised. For example, his inability or unwillingness to rotate his starting XI has been a major theme on this forum for several weeks.

Fair enough. I agree with you and it wasnt my intension to defend that kind of behaviour.

    I disagree Marky
Our fans are paying a lot of money every week to turn up and support a team who at the minute just look like they are going through the motions in the league. It is not the fans who travel hundreds of miles to watch celtic that cannot be bothered - it is the players. It would be different if we just werent very good. Or if we just had a bad result or two. But at the moment it just looks like the players cannot be bothered to put in a shift and that is totally unacceptable. It really feels like the players and taking the * at the moment and I can totally appreciate why people are angry.

That's a bit out of order there Marky :38:

And to say you are happy with the job he is doing - are you really? I'm delighted on the "whole", but our form in the league this season has been dreadful.

I've been at the majority of our home games this season, and the difference between those and away/European games - i.e. the effort/quality of the playing is night and day.

People are being short changed and it's out of order. If we have such a fantastic SQUAD, then why are we not utilizing it?

I do think fans should get off his back, it is not like Celtic are in any danger of losing the SPL. He is focusing on European football and that is what is going to bring in the money.

He isn't bigger than the club and he shouldn't be touting the way he is, it is unprofessional. Was not that long ago that he gave Celtic one of the best nights they have ever had in European football and because he lost a league game they are on his back.

Why bother posting this? You said yourself you don't think hes going any time soon.. It was a heat of the moment comment, nothing more.

i decided at start of season that i would pick and choose games and after another * game i feel like i made right choice, dont get me wrong i would love to watch celtic every week but after years of watching games like todays there comes a point when you would rather do other things on a saturday.Players need to realise that wee work like * all week to go and have a decent day out and watch the team we love but when they are too tired to perform then why should we be arsed to turn up for a so called wee game on a saturday

I think the main criticisms that can and should be levelled at Lennon today is an unwillingness or inability to rotate the squad, and inability or unwillingness to take off Commons and Hooper, and the bringing on of Brown.

    Anything else is exaggeration.

Yes I am happy with the job he's doing because I am looking at the picture as a whole. If we are only talking about the current SPL form then obviously no I'm not satisfied with it. I'm not going to start dishing out abuse to our manager over it though.

Honestly, after what happened last season I would have thought some of our fans would know better. People wanted Lennon out round about this time last year and look what happened? The fans who called for his head ended up with egg on their face and having to post grovelling apologies.

The team is playing * in the league just now and it's not good enough. That's pretty clear. That said, I think everyone just needs to keep the heid, and keep any criticism at a sensible level, as things will fall into place sooner or later. Probably sooner.

Judging by some of the stupid comments in this thread I couldn't blame him one bit for getting annoyed with some of the fans attitude. In the league it doesn't seem like most of them are trying to create any sort of atmosphere anyways..... they just seem to sit there and past judgement on our players rather than giving them the support that they've given them against Barcelona and the likes.

Now most of the fans just seem to expect victories and moan like * when we have bad results or are playing poorly instead of really getting behind the team.

I am not happy with the performances or the results in the league over the past while..... it's not like Lennon is either ffs. He'll be more angry with the players than anyone.

Give the man a break, he's hurting, he's one of us...... It's November- judgement day is
    in May.

By then we WILL have won the league and more than likely a cup or two,
and hopefully a great run in Europe......

Looking further ahead....... 10 iar with LENNY...........
