Lennon should get the boot?

NO-Because the huns are already laughing at us

 

Too many people are basing their answers on hypothetical transfers. As things stand we have Petrov, Pearson, Thommo, Naka, Maloney and McGeady available in midfied, so should Lennon stay? Of course he should, he'd get a game!

 

Lennon should and will stay, he is Definatley good enough for the SPL and no he doesnt need defence splitting passes ,we need a midfielder that will fight in midfield steady the ship and if need be break up the oppositions attack...There is only Neil Lennon that can do this now Petrov is looking to want away........Until we sign a replacement then keep him on a 12 month contract.................

 

There is actually someone in here who knows whether a football is blew-up or stuffed!
As for the Lennon bashers we know you don't like him but do you have to start a new thread about him every * week????????

Now a few people actually said he had a great season just passed but i suppose they were also wrong?????????

 

Most of us know Lennon can't cut now at Cl level but he deserves another season with us and he will do a job for us in the S.P.L he might not play every game but Some of you's have to remember he's our captin FANTASTIC committed to the club loyal as * .

Lennon Position is a DMC it means breaking up attacks sitting in front of the back four or three playing the SIMPLE pass not the long racking 60 yard passes you want to see has a great stamina always last 90 mins always gives you 100% .

Some of u's are LAUGHABLE by the way you treat our captin .

I think we should look at a long term replacement for Lennon. But he deserves another season but not on massive wages.

 

I agree wi' Magic7...Lenny is a DMC...he has done a great job for us, and has passion for Celtic.....

maybe his wage is a wee bit high, but we should not just get rid, he still has a lot to give to Celtic...

personally, i felt at the end of season i put my hands up and said lennon was time to go!! but right now i want lennon to stay, weve lost keane!! whos gonna be there to mentor the younger guys, give them the experience they so much need?

i think too many of you see lennon for something hes not. Some of you have this false perception that lennon is a gunslinging, no holdsbarred, badass mother * who don't take no * from anyone when really hes just another has been who will continue to suck large amounts of money out of the club he says he loves. If he loves the club so much why wont he take a pay cut? look at proper legends like paul mcstay, he earned * all compared to what lennon earns but he always stayed loyal to celtic. I guarentee when he leaves celtic no1 else will offer him anywhere near the deal he wants or any deal at all.

 

because hes 35!! but lets be honest, we shud be trying or best to keep him!! weve not got much of a midfield atm

 

I would keep lennon for 10K per week, no more than that. He would not get a contract with any EPL team as he is past that level, but his experience would be useful in the domestic scene next year for SPL cover and to rest players ( whoever they might be ). Heaven forbid he is playing DM in the CL for us next season because we have no one else. A great Celtic player in his day, he is just so slow now. Everyone says you can't say that about Lennon he was always slow, i know that but now he's even slower, just not CL class any more imo.

 

A lot of people seem to agree with me that its time for lennon to hang up his boots :s

 

I think your gripe with him is more what he earns and his age, not what he offers to the squad
