Lennon will have been given ONE objective this season: Win the league.

I think Celtic will win the league.
If we don't, then Lennon's position will be looked at.

Forget Europe, we don't have a team to compete in Europe yet.

good shout mate look at the way tony mowbary got it last season for making to many changes too soon .
he got it in the neck constantly last season due to not getting a chance to change the views of our so called best fans in the world .
i would hate to see the same fans turn on lennon without him getting a proper chance at the club.

He has brought in seven players, it was his first game with that group of players.

How can anyone be judged after 1 game?

If you would judge people after one game I guess Henrik would have been thrown by the wayside seen as he didn't exactly get off to the best of starts.

there was always a chance when lennon CT manager he would get the job so really my judgement goes back last season n tbh am quite optimistic for the season. tranfer window is tough for any manager that makes big changes obviously on wednesday they havent geld yet n we'll pay a huge price for it n thats * but europa isnt to bad an option just think about the laughs we'll get on a tuesday or wednesday nite when they * r gettin done in AGAIN. were not ready for champs league but aslong as were ready to win this league back i'll be happy, take a scottish cup with it and show some fight & passion on wednesday.

In terms of correcting the mistakes of which you speak, he did a pretty good job last season from the Ross County debacle onwards. Now we lose a game and your not even gonna give him a full transfer window????:97: Infact on top of the pretty radical changes he has already made, he has another month to continue rebuilding the car crash he inherited!

Speaking of which, the more I think about it, the more I think that Lenny should be canonised considering the weight of the undertaking he readily accepted!

its not his 1st game. he had the squad last season. he had 4 new signings playing. 2 that hadnt even trained with the squad till they went to portugal( juarez, du ri). 1 that is nowhere near enough to be in our squad (mulgrew) not based on wed performance , based on his whole career. 2 new strikers on the bench that coudnt get a game infront of samaras who lennon slated after the ross county game and has been trying to offload untill a couple of weeks ago. a team desperate for a new centre half and he hasnt got one yet and still plays loovens. i just thought that he would have sorted out our weakest bit of the team as his priority but he hasnt. yes he has plenty of time to retrieve and ill back him all the way but as i said i just have a few fears

I said that and a lot of others maybe if you were honest even yourself about Larson, but I didnot say get rid of him it was what the * was he doing there??? so don't through that stupid statement back in my face, it is not his first game in Charge is what I said, we had all summer to get players but kept getting thrown in our face that there is plenty of time.

All I want is for thes stupid errors to get corrected, but it is not happening and sorry if I say it again but this has been going on for 4 years now, it is getting like * ground hog day.

lennon needs time, and tbh, i think as soon as we lost the league last year we knew europe this year was more or less a write off, which may be no bad thing, remember strachan bombed out of europe early on and went on to build a successful team given time; i was sorely dissapointed at the manner of the defeat though and as much as i'l like to think we can turn it round, i'd be happy to resign myself to no euro footie this year if it means winning the league back

I watched our games the same as you and these errors were not corrected, we got through games with grit and determination but that was all, the bad play was still there, and all through our tour in the States, let me ask you an honest question did you enjoy our last 8 games?

Its not Lennons fault that we are playing competive matches in July [pre-season] Celtic are in this * scenario due to not winning the league to a team who couldnt toss a penny in the air cos there that skint .

Lennon has bought in 4 players so far and by all accounts 3 of the 4 have a name about them and he has stated he isnt finished getting players in but the Braga game has come to early or quick for Celtic ,maybe in hindsight he should have stuck with the players he knows ,but again if the same result came through the same posters on here would be asking "Why didnt Lennon play the new guys " Catch22 situation .

I stated last week that i couldnt give a toss about Europe especially the Champs League for the simple reason ,that they arent ready for that stage ,and they would be the whipping boys of any group ,sorry if some dont like this but its reality at present and to ask if Lennon is out his depth after one game competive game this season is madness ,i didnt here the same cry at the end of last season when he won 8 in the trot .

I just wonder if in the fullness of time we will see how many cracks Robbie Keane's goals in the second half of last season were covering up.

Not particularly considering they were meaningless. But I wouldn't scoff at 'grit and determination'. Its as valuable as 'sexy football' and you cannot just turn it on like a light switch. However, NL was able to instill it faster than most others would have been able to.

And on the subject of cutting out the mistakes and playing in a more 'enjoyable' manner, that too is very difficult to do and cannot be remedied over night.

    It takes:

FIRSTLY: Grit/Determination/Passion/Pride...whatever you wanna call it. This doesn't happen over night. It takes very skillful man-management.

SECONDLY: Identify the weaknesses, and then 'out with the old and in with the new'....this takes time as it involves scouting, courting, deliberation, negotiation and then a pricey business transaction.

THIRDLY: Get this new group of players to settle in their new lives and gel with their teammates. This is unpredictable and potentially volatile. This is extremely difficult to do after a handful of meaningless pre-seasons that are designed largely for fitness purposes and then one very high-stakes game against a team that is riding at an all time high!
