I'd give him a crack at it but will give my backing to whoever gets the job. I hope the decision gets made soon though.

    Yes.

Seen enough to convince me he knows what he's doing can we say the same about any other manager before the season starts?

    He shouldnt even be considered.

I wish people would stop coming out with all the 'passionate' 'knows what the club is about' crap. Its totally irrelevant. That is no criteria. History is full of diehard legend players failing as managers. If anything I think we would be better off with someone who is not absorbed in the club. We need someone who knows how to win, good tactician and good in the transfer market. We do not need someone because they are a Celtic icon.

He's been around the club for years, in trainning, part of the staff, etc, hes had a trial and passed, the county game was a freak result, that our captain should have stood up and been spoken for in that game witch he never, nor did 65k a week keane. If we bring European coach we could end up *. We could end up * with Lennon but he's not costing much money. Give him a chance, see how it goes, McStay Lennon Mjjalby.

he should be the one who decides wether that's fair too him he's a grown man.

Listen he's a big boy he can deal with the pressures of glasgow and get the players to respond to him on the pitch something mowbray certainly couldn't.

Seems like alot of fans had no intention of letting him anywhere near the job from the moment HE DONE US A FAVOUR by taking the job on in the first place, Think about it would you have taken on such a complete and utter * mess that mowbray had left us in? especially as such a young coach, if this job had gone wrong it could have put his future managerial career on the line, . yet people had no intention of supporting him for the post in a permanant position however well he did, seems a bit off USING such a well respected figure around our club like that and then be willing to drop him whatever happens.

It would have been fair enough if he didn't come in and do the job but he did, he turned a team on it's knees into one witch would have challanged for the title had he been installed earlier, WHAT MORE CAN HE DO?, I mean a few people seem to think that we can't install him incase it goes * up:97: I'm not going to attack them for it because they will just go into siege mode but that's completely wrong he's a grown man you can't not give him the job he wants because you like him he'd be fuming knowing he can do a job and not being allowed to because some fans like him too much, it's a juvenile response to the question that was asked.

passion and knowing the club is an essential quality in any manager is it not?

If he came in with no idea how much the fans were hurting (like mowbray) this year could he have turned it around the way he did? if he didn't have passion for the club would he have been able to get the players to respond the way they did in his reign?

Another thing after the ross county result he handled the situation * brilliantly and completely transformed the team from that day on into scrappers and WINNERS. He did a great job for us.

BTW Gunt how do you know lennon isn't a good tactician we did win all 8 of our SPL games was there no tactics used there?

OR good in the transfer market Have you seen him buy a player?

AND FOR THE LOVE OF * YOU DON'T THINK HE KNOWS HOW TO WIN? , HE'S WON 8 IN A ROW IN THE LEAGUE HE WOULD BE PLAYING IN IF HE WERE TO GET THE JOB HOW MUCH MORE PROOF DO YOU NEED HE KNOWS HOW TO WIN?

to many fans letting there heart rule for lennon instead of there head ruling for someone else, the board went for tm last year cos majority of fans wanted him, they wont make that mistake again wot the * is wrong if for talks sake we get hitzfield and lenny learnt from him that would suit me.we cant afford to give a rookie this job for christs sake this is one of the most demanding jobs in footie, lets get hitzfield and dd to give decent funds then fans will renew sb

No. I love Lenny as much as the next guy, but I'm not going to let my heart rule my head.

Lennon would be a gamble, no-one can argue with that. A gamble that we simply cannot afford to take. The league next season is a MUST.

yes 100% lenny for manager showed us already what he can do 8 games out of 8 with mowbrays team which mowbray couldnt do even tho he signed some of the players. So get lenny in and let him make it into his team

Dont agree mate, I think it is a good point that Lennon knows the club inside out. Lenny knows how to win, with the exception of that huge blip against Ross County he has been superb. I cant judge his transfer market skills but knowing his character he will only buy players that give 100% to the cause and are completely commited to the club. I dont want a foreign manager coming over and signing 5 players form their previous club, all soft as * who know nothing about the spl. This Rangers team proves you dont need techincally good players to win the spl, just a team of grafters and a team that can scrape results out and win ugly.

Lennon hopefully will sell the current passengers and bring in some quality but hard working players. I say give him a chance to prove what he can do, Lenny has legenary status with the club, he cares about the club and hurts just like us when it goes * up, after the Ross County game he didn't pull no punches, he told the complete truth and that was a breath of fresh air for me.

As a massive Celtic fan, all I want to see is 11 players on that field giving 100% and fighting for every single loose ball, I think Lenny will install that to the club.

Yes, I believe he should be made manager :50:

No but only if we have a proven experienced manager coming in, im not entirely convinced by levein.
I wouldn't complain though if lenny was named manager.

It's a no for me; unfortunately I can't overlook the Ross County game. It was the only game where there was any real pressure on him (league was already over by the time he came in) and he flopped. He was tactically outplayed by a 1st division manager.

I voted for Lenny, simply because i haven't been impressed with the names flying about and as someone mentioned earlier, its not like we need to pay another club for his services. Give him a chance (initial 1 year contract - would he take it?) and if he proves himself, he can then be given the rewards of a lenghty contract? If he doesn't, its not like we will need to give him a big pay off.....

If he hadn't played for the club no one would be saying yes
