Rightly or wrongly, you are never ever going to hear Scottish songs sung at Celtic games. Let's face it, it's not really who we are at all.

they are not necessarily offensive per se. i dont find rebs offensive at all. however lenny and the club have made it clear the club is inclusive and wants to welcome everyone regardless of creed or colour and as such, the rebs have no place at celtic park. the war is over. keep the rebs for the pub and stop shaming the club.

there seems to be loads on here, willing to stop the singing, and ill bet they don't hold season tickets, Celtic is a easy target here, as its the only football club,
that has supporters, and have Irish links, and has songs of rebellion, every club in Scotland. has a issue with what we sing at games, but ever one of them know all the words to the billy boys, and they let you know it. there are not many clubs that have songs to sing about there team at all. embarrassing the club in front of the Hearts fans that is a joke, its only Banter, and having the upper edge is what football is all about with the supporters, football is finished and there are loads wanting it to wind up that includes strathclydes finest, IMO the days of big support is gone, will give football no more than ten years it will be like all public houses, closing down, football as it stands is not enjoyable any more sing the songs and your in the jail, get caught smoking you are fined, have a drink your stopped from getting into the game, stand up your asked to sit, the jails will be full at 3.30 pm on a Saturday no one has came out and say what songs, as the police are in waiting to here our opinion on the songs, but what i will say we will be at the harsher end of it, after being locked up for the week end and come the Monday morning with a court appearance. tell me any other club that sings the type of song we sing the answer is none, as they do not have our history, but again we are asked to be silent. but rule Britannia can be antagonizing to some of our support. with reference made to rule over the teddy bears head

    Are you for real?

You NOW turn round and say you don't find them offensive after numerous posts of calling people who sing them morons and idiots?

    Backtrack much?

Some people on here only support the club for the trophies we've won....glory hunters.

Blatantly not for the clubs heritage, and it's not for the support either, as yous hate the songs we sing and will alway sing.

i have told you. all the rebel songs have no place at celtic park. lenny has made that clear because the club is inclusive and the club wants to extend a warm welcome to all. this is 21st century scotland. the war is over. keep the rebs for the pub and do the club a favour. there are plenty of irish/other songs that can be sung without resorting to the rebs ffs.

i'm not back tracking at all. i sing rebel songs in pubs etc.

what i have tried to make clear to you is they hae no place at celtic park any longer. the war is over.

the singing of the rebs just drags the club down to the level of the huns in the eyes of 21st century scotland's society at large. if that's what you want, carry on.

He is a realist. If he went straight for a republic and total break right away the chances of winning the referendum would be greatly lowered. He is a gradualist. Once we have independence we can then have further votes down the line on further changes, including whether to retain the monarchy. If the majority of the Scottish people want rid, fine but if they dont they dont. End of. You have to accept the will of the people.

Way too many tims always look at the Scottish situation through Irish style traditions. They are not the traditions of the country and our history is very different from Irelands. Only the very reading-shy think we were occupied by the English etc like Ireland. It was the Scottish king James who inherited the English throne to create Britain. Scots greatly benefited from and took an out of proportion role in the British Empire. Scotlands story is nothing like Irelands in terms of the union. There are way too many ham fisted attempts to portray Scotland like Ireland in terms of the union. Its so wide of the mark its unreal.

Please, please do me a massive favour.....stop trying to make clear to me what you clearly are not clear about yourself!

Celtic HAVE NOT made clear on what songs are unacceptable at CP. Police WILL NOT make clear on what songs are punishable.

On another note Radup, the war is NOT over! The war has moved from being a guerilla tactile war to a political war...so another request, stop repeating yourself.

The part in red shows, IMO, that you have ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to sing ANY rebel songs if you truly believe that the singing of them is as bad as the VILE that comes from the mouth of huns:38:

Please refrain from telling me what I can and cannot do.

If you retain the Monarchy, then you refuse Independence....simple!

The iRA have declared the war over. stop splitting hairs.

Celtic have made it clear that rebel songs are not acceptable from the chairman to the manager. if you want to live in denial that's your business.

debating?when did that start?you just seem to launch into random, ill thought out posts with little relevance to the subject matter, then subvert rational opinions with childish rhetoric
