Normally only a small minority at CP bother to sing any songs.

    That isn't true.

The heartbeat of our club is our fans. The hardcore of are fan base attend away games. The majority of are hardcore fans sing rebels. The fans that put the most money into the club want sing rebels simple as.

Do us all a favour, and stop making ridiculous statements without any evidence:38:

Where in that STUPID statement does that prove that 'the majority' DO NOT WANT to sing them?

Thats very important in my opinion. No matter where any fan hales from, they should always remember where Celtic came from....we were founded on the back of British oppression in Ireland. ( The immigrants were not in Scotland for no reason ).

I take it those who are attempting to persecute those who sing rebs at Parkhead are totally against the 'Crusade' of Celtic F.C against the SFA....after all, the way Celtic have gone after and stood up to a BIASED regime is giving other clubs a platform to call us an embarrasment?

Publicity, cup games, etc. These fans put more time and money into the club whether you like it or not. You dodge every argument put forward to you.

I would love to know how many of those on here, not the ones with open opinions - but the ones who are continually sniping at the support who sing the rebs - actually attend matches?

And I would also bet my hat that if they did attend matches, they would be the ones sitting quiet as a mouse, yet complaining about the singing:rolleyes:

I fear that the club is becoming more diluted and all the elements that made it more than just a football club are being lost. Hearing the arguments against singing rebel songs is truely ignorant, some of the comments could have been made by Hugh keevins or one of the other tabloid sports writers in Scotland. How world famous would our club be without the Irish link?

singing was the one of the best things about going to the football when i was wee.learning the rebs was like a rites of passage-should rename them freedom songs really-i support the efforts of anyone trying to free their country from unwelcome invaders and will back their right to sing songs in defiance accordingly:icon_mrgreen:

I thought I might as well add. A last week you wanted Lennon sacked and you thought you could do a better job than him. Why now do you care for his opinion? Seems quite hypocritical to me.

    Well said Paddy.

Anyone who suggests otherwise is clearly speaking from the wrong hole:50:
