Does anyone here collect Lego sets? Or just like to build them with your kids etc?

I’ve got mostly Star Wars sets, Luke’s x-wing, tie fighter, boba fetts ship, and I recently got the baby yoda one for Christmas.

My main memory of playing lego with the kids was standing on bits of it and swearing a lot.

Kids loved it though,......the lego, not the swearing that is.

I've got most of the Lord of the Rings sets, my boys are now 17 & 21 so no longer into it, but there's loads of sets built and boxed including Super Star Destroyer, Falcon, At At, Sydney Harbour, Big Ben and lots of different Lego technic

I would have thought they would re-release some of the Lord of the Rings Lego last year for the 20th anniversary, I would love to have a couple of those sets! Also that’s a very nice collection, especially if they have a box you could be looking at a couple of hundred quid there if you were to sell it.

I don't but I'm going to get some sets in the future. Haven't "played" with Lego since I was a kid but some of the sets are unbelievable. Mad expensive, mind.

There's * Lego in Smyths near me. Seems to be the Star Wars helmets you build, Storm Tropprr, Darth Vader, Boba Fett etc

I usually build the sets with my son. Good craic and always nice to see a finished product.

No got any specific sets of Lego such as Star Wars etc, but have kept the two big boxes of loose Lego I had as a child. It’s all sets these days though, the wee one got more for her Xmas. Worth a fortune nowadays as well is the original Lego.

I've got all the boxes, most are still sealed.
The only LOTR one that's built and on display is Orthanc. It actually doubled in price on Ebay to £500 as soon as it was sold out on Lego.com and is now available from Amazon for £529.
Helm's Deep was built before in my old house and when we moved my sons decided to open some other non LOTR sets and build them. For probably 10 years straight all they ever asked for was Lego at birthdays, Christmas and would save up money for Lego too.

Used to love Lego as a kid. Don’t own any but my son-in-law is daft for it. He built the Titanic etc. The Beatles Lego is always a banker. Yellow Submarine is one I can think of.
