    lol exactly. * Jim White:

"Okay thanks for the news from The Emirates, but now we have A WORLD EXCLUSIVE chat with a random Irish * representing some * club called Peterboro who we shall devote 9 minutes of airtime too purely to diss Celtic!"

    * Lee Tomlin, * that MacAnthony and * Peterboro. And * bless the SFA for closing our transfer window before we spunked money on utter * like Tomlin and Doyle.

Someone said that on Clyde 1 but.

    Tomlin
    42 games 11 goals 10 assists (£2million?........)

    Ince
    44 games 18 goals 14 assists (£12million?)

    Zaha
    46 games 8 goals 11 assists (£15million?)

    Redmond
    38 games 2 goals 6 assists (£3.2million)

Out all the wide/attacking midfield players in the Championship last season, he scored and assisted the 2nd most goals behind Tom Ince. So they are probably quite right to ask £5million for him, no chance we'd pay that though.

He was quite right in what he was saying. That's not the way to conduct business.

Aye it sounds like we tried to be sneaky and get him on the cheap.

Lawwell "Lenny, we'll go in for that Peterborough boy if we get into the Champions League, we'll bid 2 bob and he'll force a move as he'll be desperate to come. Peterborough will have no hope but to sell the unhappy player. If we go in now they'll keep rejecting bids until we pay what they want."

Seems we opened the bidding at £1.2million and only went up to £2million, when they would probably only have took about £3.5million.

There's one very obvious difference between the players you mentioned. Tomlin isn't quick.

I don't think it would have been a bad move for us at all. Particularly at around the £2m mark. May have taken some creative pressure off Commons, and we have pace in the squad anyway.

He said we just emailed instead of ringing and was moaning that the player got told about the bid at HT and had to be subbed but that had * all to with us. Did their stadium announcer shout it out or something? I can understand why he's * but we had a deadline and an overly-cautious board that's why we were desperately scraping the bottom of the football barrell at the last second like a bunch of fannies.

    * him anyway. No mark * who managed to lick his way onto Sky because of Jim the studio Hun. He's had his 5 minutes of fame now he can * off and watch us beat Barcelona again.

    Cunty McCunt.

not the way to do business, very unprofessional. we usually conduct our dealings with integrity and do complain when we feel we've been hard done by.

to give the guy 10mins to make the same point above is remarkable.

i've never seen the player so can't comment on his talents but i can only assume it was our last chance to get some one in so we were putting out feelers. no excuses though.

as the Peterborough guy said, it's us, his head would be turned but i fail to see how he was told by our side during the game that another bid has been lodged.

Maybe we met a clause that said if we had bid so much they had to inform him of the bid.

The Peterborough Chairman just come across as a complete and utter *. Jim Whyte couldn't wait to ask him what had happened. I've no doubt that they had already spoke about it prior to the programme, and he knew fine well what had gone on. I actually felt embarrassed for him when he gave it the "£15m patter" with the wink afterwards. What a *.

On the plus side, we didn't sign him.
