i was not that happy when we first signed naylor, thought he would never be good enough for us. i was wrong. a great find by strachan, a player that i would not think to buy. but he has done the job for us. played well all season and i hope we keep him for a few more. naylor proves the point that you do not always need loads of money to get good players.

I consider Cole at times and when good enough for the English squad, I dont consider Naylor yet, who knows, but he is NOT English national team quality yet.

Yes Hubert he is good but nowhere near world class and McClaren has used right sided midfielders a left back instead of a proper left back, no sense in it really.

Naylor was questioned when he came to Celtic and he turned around and proved himself good enough, i think he could do the same at international level. I.e. good squad player

I dont decide if a player is good enough or not based on one peformance. Its not the right way to measure a player

Remember Larsson's debut? Did you make up your mind on the player on that performance or did you let him prove himself?:86:

I am not either just pointing out what I had said previous, he HAS a tendency to hit the opposition players when clearing he HAS a tendency to overhit crosses or down the field balls, he can be caught out of position, and needs to hightail it back to cover, which I will admit he CAN do for he is fit, yes he is good, but ffs nowhere near the English squad quality, thats my point.

Nah not really,i think Naylor has been a great buy and up to January was fantastic but his form has slipped a bit for me since then(brilliant away to milan tho)and he's had some poor games lately Caley in the cup, yesterday and i think he could do with a week or two off.Not a criticism it's just that i think he needs a break and he must be the most fouled player in the SPL nearly every game he takes a sore one.
Naka is for me the best footballer in the SPL his vision, some of his touches the ability from dead balls, the guy has had a fantastic season and without him in the side i think we could be a dour bunch to watch.Tbh i think he could do with a week or two on a beach too.Absolute class tho and i think has been our most consistent performer apart from maybe McManus who is turning into a quality centre half and has been our most improved player this season i would say.
