Not having a moan, just genuinely curious. What is the deal with this? You're lucky if the stadium is a third full by full time. Why does the 80 minute mark serve as the unofficial full time whistle for so many people?
I know that there will be instances in which some people will need to get away early, but from past experiences in the couple of times in which I've had to do it I've usually ended up stuck in traffic anyway. You see guys leave to go and sit on their buses or go to the pub ffs. What is the point?

When I had a season ticket I often had to leave a bit earlier to get the supporters bus.

Traffic, if you leave 5 or 10 minutes early you get away no bother. If you stay to the end you are trapped in traffic for half an hour or worse.

I dont really blame folk,if youre driving for instance it can be the difference between a half hour drive home or a 2 hour drive for the sake of 5-10 mins of the game.
Im about a 20 min drive from parkhead to my house on a non-match day, i left 5 mins early today so was in my car before the final whistle and home in about 40 mins. If i wait till the bitter end it can take close to 2 hours. -
The game was always more important than getting away early for me..

My dad used to like to wait till the 90 sometimes and stand at the stairs and then bomb it along the road to the car like it was going to make a huge difference it took probably 5 mins off a journeyfreederry20 likes this. -
Then again why is everybody so eager to get up the road anyway ? Midweek game ok but at the weekend?

Never left early before and I've got a 3 hour drive home after every match.
Am sure plenty othet folk have got longer journeys home and stay till the end._DannyBhoy_ and delboy2780 like this. -
Never understood it either. But then my dad was famous for wanting to get to the stadium for whatever we were watching about two hours early and not wanting to leave until a fair bit after either. I'm definitely the same way. The traffic jam afterward was just an opportunity to sit with the radio on and talk about what we'd seen.

Never understood it myself, droves of people leaving on 80 mins, there could be 15 minutes still to play and then when the players should be receiving our applause there is hardly anyone ever left.

I sometimes leave my seat early and head to the concourse to watch the remainder, that's because I'm disabled and it's far easier for me to get out then rather than try to negotiate the stairs when everyone is piling out.
I don't like leaving early but I tend to get a lift from my uncle or @Lion1961 and can't expect them to hang around for ages on me waiting on the stadium emptying._DannyBhoy_, pop47, Jackie Daytona and 5 others like this. -

Is a bit * when the player's are interacting after and Brendan, when we're supposed to have this real bond between fan's and player's this year. I think it's obvious that's why the GB get mentioned by a lot of them because not only is the atmosphere brilliant from that part but they all stay behind and cheer them on, which is why our player's spend a lot of the time post match applauding that section..
Be nice if not just for the big game's, most stay behind to show appreciation..
I don't go much myself so it's just an observation. People want to go about their weekend's, catch buses, get pints in before the local haunts are heaving etc but I'd personally stay behind..JML67 likes this. -

Used to sit beside a guy and his son who always left 10 mins early regardless of who they we were playing, they missed last minute winners against ac Milan and shaktar, could never understand it. 2 of the best moments of your life and you miss it to save you sitting in some traffic.

It absolutely does my head in. Such a feel good factor around the club and anyone that left early today lost out on genuinely brilliant moments with Sinclair, Ralston and Johnstone.
