I hope you understand that if everyone shared your attitude we more than likely wouldn't have a club to 'support'?

if season ticket holders did not get this option then next year they could have gave up there season ticket and pick up ticket for the BIG games like everybody else seems to be trying to do, the celtic board are not stupid and this will only make non season ticket holders want season tickets more.

I think the extra tickets should have went on public sale then its up to the hoardes like myself to battle it out online, via phone or at the ticket office!

Like I said, I don't see how you as a ST holder gain anything personally by getting two tickets that you do not need and giving them to someone else. Your effectively deciding who attends the game. But its certainly not an incentive.

Then the problems of ticket touts and 'undeserving fans' would be even greater.

so you cant afford a season ticket but youve spent over 500 on the group stage and had 50 to buy a ticket for juve , as i said you could have had a season ticket at those prices and why not buy 2 tickets for the next 2 spl games with your 50 and back the team , and the end of the day its your money and i no money is tight for everybody but it seems most people pick and choose when it suits them

I don't think it would because those seeking tickets would genuinely be wanting a seat for themselves. Whereas every person purchasing two tickets yesterday already had a guranteed seat.

Ticket touts would have an even greater access to tickets :97:

Just to ask again, do you recognise if everyone shared your attitude in regards to attending Celtic games then we probably wouldn't have a club.

Yes - I fully understand your point regarding my attitude. Unfortunately thats how I feel on the matter. Absolutely agree that ST holders attending the game are a credit and of course crucial to motivating the team. I'm completely in agreement.

But do you acknowledge that no season ticket holder has received any perk or quantifiable reward by being given two seats that they personally are unable to sit on.

Reading peoples annoyance on here about not getting a ticket is understandable. They are Celtic Supporters, as are you. But I feel there is a hierarchy mentality if you are a season ticket holder. Again whilst applauding and respecting those who go every week, its an unhealthy attitude and not a genuine reflection of one indivisuals passion over anothers.

IMO would been fairer if season tickets all got there individual ticket first, then those that went with the match packages etc got a ticket then season ticket holders got a chance to purchase the remainder.

Personally I am not put out as I was not trying to get a ticket due to work etc, etc.

As I've said many times, season ticket sales are on the decline and Celtic have to do whatever they can in order to encourage new people to buy them and current season ticket holders to renew- that has meant offering additional tickets to season ticket holders for the 'big games'. I'd suggest that's fair enough.

I wouldn't want to tell you how you should and shouldn't spend your money, but in my opinion your attitude is disgraceful, and I certainly don't think people like you 'deserve' a ticket. But it is just an opinion, and I can't ultimately decide who should and shouldn't get tickets. I'm just glad there are supporters who don't share your attitude and ensure we have a club to support.

I don't think my attitude is "disgraceful". Like I mentioned earlier, it wasnt disgraceful when I sotod at Hampden in 1994 watching a league game v Motherwell with 18,000 others. It certainly didn't make me a better supporter than those not in attendance.

Lets be clear - you have a season ticket. Thats what you possess and I don't. So on that basis, everything that connects me to Celtic is irrelevant and I'm undeserving of a ticket?

Every game attended over a 20 year period (inc flights etc), every strip I've bought since 1987, paying big money to pay at the park with ex players, buying shares and a stupid brick with my name etc etc...not important!

I'll bet your one of those people who when asked if they support Celtic they reply "yeah, season ticket holder"! Whereas I just reply "yeah, red brick owner"....but then again.....I'm a disgrace:icon_mrgreen:

    Unforunately, that's all pretty irrelevant.

Celtic regard season-ticket holders as the 'life-blood' of the club, and who could argue with that, as without them we simply wouldn't have a club to support.

You've suggested you can't be bothered with Celtic games most weeks. Now if everybody shared that attitude there would simply be no Celtic- you seem to understand that and yet don't seem to see the problem- it's a disgraceful attitude to have in my opinion. I don't go to games to watch Inveress, St Mirren or even Barcelona, I go to support Celtic. And if I (Or anyone else for that matter) ever get 'bored' of doing that, then I'd suggest the games up!

Dont know why its being said that season ticket holders didnt benefit from getting the extra tickets, well yes they did because it means most of them cam share it with their families.

So how can you say it didnt benefit us? The club have been good for doing this.

I don't blame the club but individual ST holders that are intentionally buying and selling extra tickets for profit are pretty low imo. I'd never sell on a ticket at more than face value. Might still be able to get a ticket but I won't be paying inflated prices, that's for * sure.
