Don't expect too much from the Lad. If he does the biz then brilliant. Last year he played with Deportivo in the Secunda, our Div 1. He has never generated a fee - always a 'freebie' and when Deportivo gained promotion this year to La Liga his contract was not renewed. Has been out of contract for a few months until we picked him up. From the Spanish articles I have read, he comes across a genuinely nice and caring Lad, who in the past has lacked a bit of self belief. Although he is classed as a Tunisian International he has played only 3 times for the Country, the 1st cap when he came on for the last 15 minutes. Based on what I have read he is not a Miku or Hooper. He is a squad player and might even find young Wattie ahead of him before too long. Who knows he may turn out to be an absolute diamond, time will tell.

Hope this guy is what we have been shouting out for target man that can hold the ball up and bring the midfield into play, also score with his head

He has got to be better than owen and del piero anyway

The difference in quality in the Spanish second tier and our second tier is massive. The fact that he scored 18 goals last season in that league is still good, considering we're getting him for nothing.

To be honest I don't think we're looking for a top class goalscorer in him. We've got Stokes and Hooper who are proven goalscorers for us, Watt is coming through and hopefully Miku will be a class signing. As long as Lassad can come in and do a decent job for us when needed I'll consider him a decent buy. He doesn't even need to be a huge goalscorer, maybe just a target man who can offer us something different, particularly in European games where we sometimes just need to play a long ball.

Last part is the key bit for me. These two signings could be the difference for us in Europe. Our attacking options are looking quite formidable now. Great news :50:

You trying to make out that Deportivo didn't want him? He was their top scorer, of course they offered him a new contract. He was then offered a contract by the sixth best team in Spain.

No haven't watched him that much. My Team in that neck of the woods is Tenerife who are now in Secunda B having been relegated there 2 years ago, so I follow the Div and those in it. The Secunda Div is on a par with the English Championship. Deportivo are a good Team from Northern Spain with a long tradition in La Liga. It hurt them to get relegated and got back at the first attempt. Levante, who are not a big Club - they finished 6th last year, their highest ever finish and recently have spent as much time in Secunda as they have in La Liga - wanted Lassad but from what I have read, he would have been a squad player. As I said earlier, maybe he will turn out to be a real diamond. I just know that as quickly as we welcome these lads to our Club, they can be turned upon and from the info on Lassad, he is a genuine, caring and sensitive big Lad who plays with a passion and only wants to please, so I wish him all the best.

Exactly. Some people are just pulling assumptions out of thin air and expecting their statements to have authority. Unless you've seen him play a few games - I doubt most people on here are tuning into Liga Adelante games very often, you can't really say how good or bad he is. He obviously has a bit of quality about him though if Levante were after him and he was Deportivo's top goalscorer. :50:
