    Barca’s goalie is pish

Messi looks like he can’t be arsed, just been booked for kicking the ball at the ref

    Barca's defence is pish ^

Lenglet booked again for pulling on a striker running through, he was sent off for that the other week as well.

How they havent solved that backline yet is beyond me. years it has been * as a CB pairing and they fail to address it.

Laporte, Van Dijk, missed chances on both them who would have been ideal to Barcelona.

Glad to see Griezmann score. I still think he's brilliant, just not suited to Barca. Might still click but won't be surprised if he's moved on soon.

Koeman giving Lennon a run for his money

Bets on who gets a win first and who gets sacked first?

Madrid aren’t any good by any means either but will walk the league.

Neto will get most of the blame there but Pique didn't make it easy for him either, nevertheless inexcusable at this level

I actually thought Leo looks motivated but still too isolated, being asked to orchestrate the majority of scoring chances between the lines - he was consistently swarmed my multiple defenders and his teammates still failed to lessen the burden. It's also why I think I noted he misplaced more passes in this match than I can recall, often unforced too. His frustration was at the habitually poor/compliant Spanish refereeing & VAR (At least 1 penalty was denied, again)

I have accepted that Busquets cannot be counted on for 90 minutes every 3 days much less always starting, Pjanic's HT substitution made a difference but still shocking that the protagonist against this Alaves side the last time they faced off was a technical exclusion by Koeman - Riqui Puig. He won balls deep against their low block and regularly was getting in between their lines of defense to create chances. Ignorance or naivety from Koeman who otherwise has been brought a lot of welcome changes to this Barca that clearly is a work in progress

Still, I liked a lot of what I saw - there's a great deal of raw & exciting talent in the core of the team but they still lack a legitimate LB & striker (How do you replace a player like Luis Suarez & his goals?). Fairly certain that sooner than later Xavi will become the coach and two players who would benefit most from that is Puig (Who has been marginalized) and De Jong who has yet to evolve his game from what he was used to with Ajax & Holland. The team will get better as the season progresses but Koeman is not a master tactician

1-0 Betis, decent goal to open the day.
They started the season well in the opening couple games, but need a decent win here to kick on again if they have aspirations to get European football next year

One of Messi’ goals today wasn’t a penalty! He’s back...

Ramos picked up his 177th cap tonight. Most capped European player ever.

Had done them.whem they were down, had Chelsea and PSG too when they were drawing.

As. Said Barca are a shambles, Messi will always be a great of his time, but never be the best for me, he's been blessed with.some teammates over time.

Barca’s current plight has literally less than zero consequence on Messi’s place in the history of football.

The greatest player that has ever lived.

Atletico look a good bet for the title, Suarez leaves Barca and now could bag a title.

Although I prefer Real Madrid, would love to see Sociedad do it.
