What a man. Really hope he's here to perform on the CL stage next year. Didn't do himself justice this year just passed.

Loved the goal where his first touch sent 2 sheep players the wrong way, before he slotted it home, sublime talent.

The technique on that first goal- one movement to turn, strike and lean forward over the ball to keep it down is astonishing.

He's really starting to improve (not that he was bad before). Think he's now scoring goals he wouldn't have last season or earlier in the season.

Always room to keep improving and some footballers seem reluctant at times. Glad he's not one of them.

CELTIC ace Kyogo Furuhashi faces a Cup Final race against time after he wasn’t fit enough to pick up his Player of the Year award.

Kyogo was due to pick up his Scottish Football Writers’ Association award at a gala dinner in Glasgow - but was an eleventh-hour call-off.

The Japanese frontman scored a double in Celtic’s 5-0 romp against Aberdeenon Saturday - but limped off after a collision with Dons keeper Kelle Roos.

The SFWA said: “Unfortunately, on the advice of Celtic's medical staff, the SFWA Player of the Year Kyogo Furuhashi is now unable to attend the awards dinner after sustaining an injury.

“Kyogo and Celtic have relayed their sincere apologies.”

Celts boss Ange Postecoglou - who picked up the Manager of the Year award - will accept the award on Kyogo's behalf.

Postecoglou said on Saturday after his hitman’s injury: “I don’t think it’s anything serious with Kyogo. I’ve spoken to the medical guys and we’ll see how it settles down.”

On the 33-goal striker's award, SFWA association president Chick Young said: “The voting for our player of the year was very tight.

“Callum McGregor and Van Veen had sensational seasons… but the fact that Kyogo Furuhashi went beyond them underlines how good he has been.

“He is some player. A will of the wisp with an ability to see space where there seems to be none.

A worthy addition to a list that goes all the way back to Billy McNeill.”
