The fact he said about being concerned if he could contribute is a bit strange as you'd think if it was as bad as being made out he wouldn't even have any concern as he would he unable to walk or train:giggle1:

Then again, could be us looking too much for the positives.

Japanese people in the comments complimenting the assists that Kyogo receives from his teammates etc. (Let’s you translate the comments)

Some cracking final balls to go with the unreal finishing tbf.

Think most of were in the same boat with this thinking.

His goals in the final were great but not worth risking a long term injury to our best player.

Absolutely gutted if it’s months rather than weeks man.

To be honest, I understand playing him in the cup final, we had Giakoumakis and Ajeti out, and it took two moments of magic from Kyogo himself to win the cup.

St Johnstone was a risk, but same issue as before, no fit strikers and we had just dropped points prior, we don't play Kyogo and drop points there the league would likely have been over.

Playing him against Betis is still my biggest gripe with Ange, there was just no need at all. We're going to need Maeda to majorly step up once he's back from Japan.

If there's any positive to take from this, I don't actually think Kyogo will leave in the summer now. Before christmas I was 99% sure he'd be gone even with CL football, now I think he's almost guaranteed to stay.

I tend to agree with you. But likewise I hope we are both wrong and some how he makes the zombies game and has a similar impact to the League Cup Final.

Why did you think a player with a 4 year contract would leave this summer after 1 season? We never allowed big VVD to leave and he had huge offers. Unless someone was paying £50m hes staying anyway.

Can't see Kyogo leaving in the summer unless someone comes in with a crazy bid.

Starting to get worried with all this chat of 4 months out. See if that is a distinct possibility we need another striker at least on loan to the summer.

He has been our talisman this season and we look a different team altogether with him in it. Maeda looks encouraging and the jury is still out on Giakoumakis but given the volume of games we have running with just two senior strikers until the end of the season is a very risky strategy.

    Read the article there.

Jackson is saying that our medical team have supposedly been discussing whether he needs to go 'under the knife' which would result in 4 months of rehab. Meaning his season is done.

    I'll wait and see.

His age will play a factor in a move IMO.

He will be here at the minimum next season, then if he goes into the January of 2024 that would be him 29 years old having been with us 2.5 years, will a club pay big money for a 29 year old from the SPL?

I honestly think we have a good chance of having him here for good tbh.

Surely if he needed surgery they'd have done it already?

That was over a month ago he got injured.
