Yep, get him in the team. No doubt he'll be a good player for us, might aswell start getting him used to beng in the XI now because some players from yesterday played their way out the team, and in Efe's case out the club, hopefully.

Ajer seems like he has the right mentality to play here. A winner.

KA: "Last week was disappointing but we played well today and if we do that on Wednesday we’ll beat Lincoln.

KA: "We have a lot of midfielders and the manager knows I can play there but he also knows I can play defence."

KA: "It was my biggest experience running out there today and I made some mistakes but after a while I performed well."

KA: "Hearing the fans shouting on me was great. The biggest crowd I’ve played in front of was 12,000 so it was amazing."

KA: "Getting man of the match was also very cool. It’s a big honour playing for Celtic."

KA: "I came to Celtic to play and if the manager gives me the opportunity, I’m ready."

Ajer looks good at CB and DM.
This should see Ambrose out the door now.

    This guy could bring anything.

Would rather he got his chance in midfield though to see what he can do

Strolled through that like the Fonz today..........Very impressed. Raw, but his reading and positional play was excellent. Very exciting prospect.

The word raw is used way too often.

    No he didn't don't exaggerate.

He was meh for me, he was ok. A lot of nerves obviously which would probably explain the mistakes he made but you can tell he's never a CB. Likes to hold on to the ball too much and was trying to play football at CB which got him caught out a few times, also made a couple mistimed tackles giving away dangerous FKs.

It's far too early to judge one way or the other, he obviously has a lot to learn and has a lot of potential but I don't think he'll get many games this season, too much competition in MF and when Erik, Simunovic, Boyata, Lustig, Ambrose and a new CB is brought in he'll be even further down the line. He's ahead of O'Connell and McCart I'd say currently.

Can we not just be glad we've got a young player with loads of potential in our squad..

Let's not put unrealistic pressure on him or write him off if he has a bad game..

Did well for his first game at Celtic Park.

KRISTOFFER Ajer barely had time to lace his boots never mind warm-up before he was called into action in Saturday’s game against Wolfsburg but the Hoops star said it was an experience he relished.
The Norwegian teenager was scheduled to make a second-half appearance for the Bhoys in their friendly match against the Bundesliga side at Paradise but a head knock to Erik Sviatchenko 18 minutes into proceedings scuppered that plan, with Brendan Rodgers calling on the versatile 18-year-old as Sviatchenko's replacement.
After a nervy first few touches, the former Start midfielder settled into the game and eventually claimed the Man of the Match award in Celtic’s 2-1 win, marking an impressive home debut for the talented teen.
Ajer said: “It was my biggest experience ever, running out there without warming up and I did some mistakes in the beginning that I’m not proud of but after a while I performed well and it was a big experience hearing the fans shouting on me.
“The biggest experience I’ve played in front of was 12,000 so playing in front of so many people was amazing.”
Ajer has featured regularly for the Scottish champions throughout pre-season but had to settle for a place on the sidelines last week as the Hoops lost 1-0 to Lincoln Red Imps in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League second round qualifier in Gibraltar.
The 18-year-old added that he knows there are a lot of players ahead of him in the queue for places at Celtic but said he is ready and willing to change his game to win a place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI.
“It’s a big honour playing for Celtic and to get the man of the match is brilliant,” he said of Saturday’s game. “I came to Celtic to play and if he (the manager) gives me the opportunity, I’m ready.
“He has a lot of midfielders so he knows I can play there but he also wants me to develop as a centre-half which I think is good to be able to play more positions.
“The only thing I’m working on is to develop and to play games and if that means I need to play centre-half I will play there.”

Boy certainly has an eye for a pass, still naive in some of his play but that will mature with age.
