    No.

Considering he is only 18 and his team are utter, utter dross. Even Pele re-incarnate would struggle to turn around the fortunes of a side on that sort of losing run.

I'll judge him on his time in green and white.

Cole has left, I'm sure? Him and Derk were released, and Scepovic did I hear right we accepted a 1.5mill bid?

I watched him the other day and I was quite impressed with him tactically and with his positioning as I think he used to play as an attacking midfielder for them and only recently started playing deeper.

He stayed in position well most of the game and was happy to take the ball off his team mates and move it on.

But hard to tell anything about him as his team was absolutley wide open he was like in the middle himself and the other midfielders where nowhere near him, most of the goals he wasnt near the play either as there was holes everywhere that the opposition were getting through, was one of the most * maybe the actual worst defensive display ive ever witnessed at any level of football.

Signing for us must be some relief to him, must be weird for their fans too as usually when a team loses their best player its a massive blow but his team are so awful that he won't even be missed as they get pumped every week anyway.

Got high hopes for him, to be captain and regarding as such a strong leader and talent on the pitch at that age is incredible.

I don't think we are expecting too much.

We all know he has talent though, that is clear. Big coup for us to get him here and I hope he is given time to adapt to the game/lifestyle here.

KRISTOFFER Ajer’s excitement is palpable now that his dreams of Paradise are set to become a reality.
The highly-rated 18-year-old officially joined Celtic yesterday (Tuesday) on a four-year deal from IK Start, having penned a pre-contract agreement back in January.
He becomes the first arrival of the Brendan Rodgers reign and will start working with his new manager and team-mates when the Hoops return for pre-season on June 20.
Over the past six months the Norwegian youngster has been keeping abreast of developments at his new employers and watched with amazement as 13,000 fans turned out to welcome Brendan Rodgers to the club.
And with season tickets being snapped in fantastic numbers, he is relishing the prospect of being roared on by a huge home support at Celtic Park.
Speaking exclusively to the official website, he said: “In my head I have dreamed about that so many times since I signed for Celtic. Here in Norway we have five or six thousand at each game and at Celtic there will be 50-60,000 at some games so that will be crazy.
“For me it’s a big dream come true to play in front of so many people. At Start we sold 900 season tickets this year so it’s a big difference and that’s what football is all about, playing in front of amazing supporters and hopefully we can bring them some success.
“I’m most looking forward to just being a professional footballer and living out my dream, to walk out at Celtic Park in front of thousands of supporters and hopefully score some goals and celebrate in front of so many people.
“I do extra training a lot by myself and I always picture this in my head and I really think it will be similar to what I will actually experience at Celtic.
"I am really looking forward to the big change from Norway to playing in front of so many fans. I’m really proud to become a Celtic player.”
Despite his tender years, the versatile midfielder has already amassed over 50 league appearances for Tippeligaen side IK Start and is considered one of the brightest prospects in Norwegian football.
Compatriot Ronny Deila won the race to sign him for Celtic back in February and, although the Norway U21 internationalist will start his Hoops career under Brendan Rodgers, he isn’t fazed by this managerial switch.
Ajer is well aware of the attractive, attacking approach of Brendan Rodgers’ teams, a style in which he believes he can thrive in.
He has also been greatly encouraged at how other people in the game have described the Irishman, including Ronny Deila, who spoke positively about the new manager.
“I watched a lot of games when he was the Liverpool manager and he’s a great manager and I’m looking forward to training with him,” said Ajer. “I haven’t met him before but I have heard some great things and I’m really excited.
“I spoke to a few guys back in Norway that know him and I also talked to my agent and Ronny and they all said really good things about Brendan.
“I have seen him being interviewed on TV and his documentary at Liverpool, and he looks great at working with the young kids in the squad which is perfect.
"I knew that Ronny might not be here when I came in but thenI saw Brendan Rodgers had been appointed, and what he brings with him made me really excited.
“Ronny spoke to me when Brendan was appointed and he wished me good luck and he told me Brendan was a good manager. Ronny has always been a great manager and I just wished him good luck and hopefully we will meet again at some point.
“It’s a dream come true, being able play under Brendan Rodgers and play alongside so many great players.
“He wants the team to have the ball and be comfortable with it and I like to play in that way so I’m really looking forward to it, along with walking at Celtic Park and hearing You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
While the talented teenager knows there is still room for him to develop as a player, he wants to stake a claim for a starting slot when the Scottish champions gear-up for the new campaign during their pre-season tour of Slovenia.
“It’s important as I want to play a lot next season and if you want to do that you have to perform in training and in the games,” he said. “I’m looking forward to pre-season and travelling to Slovenia, where I will try to play well and to get to know the players and staff."

Keep on forgetting we have signed this lad.

Excited to see him in the hoops and a manager like Brendan to develop him.

Excellent words from him regarding both Rodgers and deila.

Very nice of deila to call him up and talk to him about Rodgers as well.
No doubt keeping a good report with the kid - probably sign him off us in a couple years for a team like shalke

NEW Celtic signing Kristoffer Ajer believes his best position is central midfield but he insists that he will happily fill any role for the Scottish champions.
The talented 18-year-old has already proven he’s a versatile operator at previous employers IK Start, with the Norwegian even deployed up front on a number of occasions.
Ajer featured for the Kristiansand-based side as recently as May 29, and he then spent the start of June on international duty with Norway U19s, managing to get on the scoresheet in a 2-2 draw with Bulgaria.
And he hopes this will match sharpness will help him hit the ground running at the Hoops once he reports for pre-season duty next Monday (June 20), when new manager Brendan Rodgers puts his charges through their paces for the first time.
Speaking exclusively to the official website, the new Bhoy said: “It’s an advantage that I have been playing football so recently, and I was at an international tournament that went very well, so I feel in good shape. I've had two weeks off as well now so I also feel ready to play football again.
“I had two great years at IK Start and played a lot of games but this season we didn’t perform well as a team and now I’m just looking forward to joining Celtic and to start winning again. Now I am in top shape and ready to perform well in coming to Celtic.
“Brendan will decide where I play, but for me I have played well in the national team in my favoured position which is central midfield or as a deep-lying midfielder,” he continued. "But I will play anywhere I am asked although I feel that is where I am best.”
Ajer officially joined Celtic earlier this week on a four-year deal from IK Start, having penned a pre-contract agreement back in January.
He will jet into Glasgow this weekend to begin the next chapter of his burgeoning career and he’s relishing the challenge of staking a claim for Brendan Rodgers’ side as pre-season gets underway in Slovenia.
“I’m travelling over to Glasgow on Saturday and we are going to look at flats next week,” said Ajer. "My Mum and Dad will join me so they will stay here for one week and then I will go out to Slovenia they will come back.
“I feel really ready. I have trained so hard since I signed for Celtic and now I’m ready to play with some great players and be able to develop here and play some good matches in front of a huge amount of supporters at Celtic Park.”

I think we can clearly see he handled himself in an amazing way so far. His attitude is so good Celtic came calling, this kid is Scott Brown, but with Griffiths and Rogic added in, you will see below. So we know his attitude is right, he is a KID and he talks to the press/media like a veteran. Watching him play as I do from time to time when I can see a game is on, he is a superb player. Box to box, controls the midfield with his head and his simple football. But he gets forwards, creates and scores. He has it ALL in his locker. To captain ANY SIDE of Adults at his age tells is easily he is respected by what he does and says at that age. That is incredible. I think this job came too early for Ronny, but he did leave us a few good players. KT, Griffiths he changed, and Rogic he made better. I think this kid wants to be here, spend his career here. He is a smart kid and he can really play, I mean this in a way in terms of how I seen him play in his own Country but he is very similar in style, in that small league, to Steven Gerrard. His fans and club love him to bits, banner is above. I see where you are coming from mate, he is young and it might be too much for him, but if we look closer, like many have been, you see the story right in-front of you, this kid is more than a very special tallent at the age of 18. This kid has the same attitude as Scott Brown, he bosses EVERYONE, and he tackles HARD, this kid OWNS his destiny. Think I watched maybe 10 games of him at his former club, he is an unreal, cool, thinker, dedicated, gives 100% and more. He is at left back, right back, all over the park, defending and scoring and hes 18 ::56: and Captain so add that LOL...This is a very special young kid we got coming in buddy.. #HH
    :shamrock:

I know many have seen this. But apply the above and look again. He is a young Scott Brown, but can play every position, defend, score, create, own people. And he has it ALL to learn still :smiley-laughing002:

This kid is better than Bitton the way he charges about the park. Slightly similar I suppose. But Ajar is all over the park like Scott Brown, can score like Rogic, score like Griffiths, take people on and beat them on both wings, brilliant in the air in defence and attack, composed with the ball at his feet. His desire level will make Celtic fans fall in love with him...

    ..I hope... lol
