Amazing what happens when you give the lad a break for a game or two.
It's the reason we need another CB of a similar level to ajer and Julien to rotate these guys.

It wasn’t the break, it was a boot up the * to let him know he’s not untouchable

It's worked as well to be fair..

He's playing well and I just noticed his reaction to his assist yesterday as well....looks to have a bit of fire in the belly..

Has his faults but is a massive asset when on it with his speed in stride and his ability to bring the ball out..

This is the Ajer we all know, the end of last season it was like Efe took over him at times.

Would love to keep him here for this season.

Hopefully a sign of things to come, his bursts forward from centre half add something to our attacks when it starts getting a bit pedestrian and easily defended.

His heading is still dreadful though for a guy his size, there’s no even any point in him going up for set pieces.

Any player that want's to leave, Lenny should be playing them, asking them to give their all and show other clubs what they can do, that'll benefit us and them.

The sceptic in me says he's only stepping it up because he knows he wont get his best move warming his * on the bench.

I hope he stays tbh, if he plays as we know he can then hes a big asset in a massive season.

See i don't mind any player doing that, as long as they give their all wearing the Celtic jersey, we canny stop players from leaving, happens all the time, we just need to have a replacement ready to step in, and on it goes.

I don't either, it is just very timely with everything that has happened the past week or so. As he has been playing below par for months!

Couldn't he take over Brown's position, the way he can drive with the ball, tackle etc... Could work.

Get a big * like Duffy to partner Jullien and have Ajer play the role brown does coming deep for passes, even at at times acting like a 3rd CB. Then let him drive forward and release guys like McGregor, Turnbull/Christie allowing these type of guys to focus on their strengths which is their attacking play.

Personally I think he's got it in him to do, more so than Bitton can.

For all Broony has lost a yard or two of pace he's still fast on the turn to keep the ball in tight spaces, Ajer just doesn't have that, he's just too big. Ajer does well driving out into space but in a tight midfield needing agility he'd be found out I reckon.

A back 3 of Ajer Duffy and big CJ-Awesome, Duffy can take care of the pork chop types, and both CJ and Ajer can rempage forward.

this is the best hes been since he established himself as a first choice centre back in 2018 season. Going forward , he has gone up a level. particularly the positions hes picking the ball up in when its recycled

If we do go 3 at the back now that Duffy is in the house, surely we should encourage Ajer to drive forward more often.
Cant remember exactly which game it was recently, he makes a driving run forward, lays off a decent pass, then does a U turn to head back into center halfs position, surely he should be instructed to keep bombing forward and someone like Brown drop back to fill in.
