Medical tomorrow, presentation Wednesday by all accounts.

  3. Middle three with him, Brown and Bitton should do the trick in the qualifiers.

    * sake that came out of nowhere. Was sure he would in January, then we wait until a few weeks in February to really surprise us :56:

Kristoffer Ajer was on trial with Celtic last monthKristoffer Ajer will arrive in Glasgow on Tuesday to finalise personal terms for a move to Celtic.
Subject to a medical, the 17-year-old Start midfielder will secure a deal to join the club in the summer.
Ajer is highly-rated in Norway and can move as a free agent at the end of the season.
He spent a week on trial at Celtic last month, impressing manager Ronny Deila enough for him to recommend that the player be offered a long-term contract.

Do we even need to pay a developmental fee now since we are leaving it to the end of his deal?

I knew the board had a reason for sticking with Ronny.
Sign him Wednesday get rid of Ronny on Thursday :icon_mrgreen:

Probably just us being smart though as there was no rush to sign him given he would have been going back to them on loan. In January it was rumoured they wanted a good sell on clause and more money but with him able to sign a pre-contract in the summer as soon as the window shut he was worth a lot less to them.

So we could have probably signed him in January for like £800k + a 20% sell on clause.

Now he's probably only cost like £600k with 10% sell on clause due to the fear for them that he would sign a pre-contract with someone and they'd struggle to get £200k compensation.

Excited to sign him but I don't expect him to make too much of an impact next season, considering how we've treated other young players who have signed. Think we'll take a while to get him fully in the team.

I hope you're wrong. I want to see this lad start at least fifteen matches next season. He's been starting regularly in Norway and we don't want to stifle his development.

For the very obvious reason that that's exactly what we're doing to him just now?
