When he does the simple things he's class, it's when he tries to be the hero and win every single loose ball that he makes rash challenges. As @Doogs. said he's young and still learning how to play CB. 3-4 years time he'll be world class imo.

    Unsung hero today?

Excellent tackle before he was assaulted

And the drive for the goal, he was doing that a lot 2nd half, really trying to push us on. Hat doffed to ya big man

He's rightly come in for some criticism in recent weeks, but he was a match winner today.

I really rate Ajer, think he's gonna get better and better in the future, I'd like to see him be a bit more aggressive though. Especially in the air.

He impressed me today. Some fine tackles, especially just before the red card.

Well as he played yesterday, he missed that header for their goal.

Sutton is right about his heading ability and it's frustrating especially now we are getting consistent corners in but his other qualities drown all that out, his part in the Aberdeen winner using his signature run was a great sign of developing.

His heading is embarrassing for a guy his side. At both ends..

Today he had a chance 8 yards out free and he * it again and went drifting well off..

The second one was most frustrating, first one was like getting his aim in but he had so much time the second, got to meet that in concert, I mean he's got such a brilliant understanding of timing when he strolls up the park like Moses, where does it go in the air?

Got to remember that CB wasn't his natural position. He's been converted from a CM, so strolling out from the back is second nature to him but big CB type headers and defensive positioning are still things he's growing in to.

He’s cost us the game. Not even trying to contest that header is unforgivable. Been sloppy far too many times this season.

Makes as many mistakes as Boyata yet gets nowhere near the criticism.

Crazy how good he was and now he’s struggling.
I still have belief that he’ll fix this.

He's shocking in the air, 2 games now where he's been absolutely bullied by guys 3 or 4 inches shorter than him directly leading to goals.
