Dembele. He might leave if we don't give him a proper chance. I'd rather give an academy player game time, than sign a backup player. It's a matter of strong preference for me.

 

Why would he rot on the bench? He would see plenty game time through rotation. Christie will need rested at times, go off the boil, and he can also play through the middle, meaning both could even play at the same time, so there would be plenty of options for getting game time.

 

Dembele isn’t a left winger.

Lovric also likely wouldn’t be a backup. He’d at the very least be pushing for a starting place and competition for places is key to high levels of performance.

 

Dembele plays on the right.

We desperately need a left winger. Our reliable attacking options right now are Kyogo, Abada, Forrest and Christie. That’s not enough.

Dembele has literally never played left wing for us at all. No idea why you would think that.

Dembele is an academy player endangered by the arrival of new wingers. We need a LB, RB, CB and a ST before even thinking about new winger. *, give Ange good medical staff, and Johnston will feel like a new signing.

Lovrić is a very good player, but not in an absolutely critical position.

 

Peraonally I would rather spend the money offering Christie a new contract. Although I would be happy with them both.

 

Reckon he’d have no issues on the left though, he’s strong on both feet but right wing is his normal position.

 

that's why CB and ST should be bolstered now, but after LB and RB. Wingers can wait. Did you mention 17 players that need to come, or was it someone else? 17 players require more than 1 transfer window. Most likely 3.

 

At this moment in time, we need a LW before we need a striker. We have no fit LW available right now.

 

I suppose Forrest would get in the squad, if Christie became temporarily unavailable. I'd personally shift Abada to the left in that case, as I see him using his left foot without hesitation.

 

We may lose out on him, yes. But we can't get every good player- even if the fee is realistic. For example, Lee Dong-gyeong impressed for South Korea U23-s at the Olympics. We aren't looking at him, most likely. Priorities dictate where we must spend money.

And yes, I know that he liked our social media profiles and such. But I still want 4 other positions sorted out first. Then, if we can, we can see if he is still with Gorica.
