  1. Does he not play in the middle of the park? Is he not a midfielder? That's my point, who are we going to get in like him for 300k hence the one off

Also do you think we could get another player as good as Didier Agathe for 50k? I could go on but I'm glad you have seen the mistake buddy :50:

  2. I'd like to see him go, anything over £3m+ would do.

He's doing nothing in our 4 CL qualifiers this season, 0 goals 0 assists.

    European record - 31 games, 4 goals, 6 assists.

If we're to show a good account of ourselves or even qualify for the CL this season, we need better.

Nope.I think your arguments silly. Over the years we've proven we can grab a bargain. Lubo, petrov, Izaguirre, Wanyama, boruc etc. We've proven time and time again that we can find players on the cheap.

If we sell for the for the reported fee of £6m+, would we get someone that would improve us for half the money from that reported fee? I would like to think so.

  4. I'm not having an argument bud just stating my opinion, all of them players you have said we have only ever replaced one if them. And that's Boruc with Foster who cost us 2 million, we have never replaced Lubo, Petrov or Wanyama and we still have Izzy who has been our best left back for * knows how many years, let's see when he goes how long it will take to get him replaced.

Do you really think that we are going to spend 3m+ on a replacement for Commons when we have not replaced others...... Not a * chance with our history.

  5. Wonder what today's decision mean for the Commons deal?

If we could get a replacement in before the Maribor tie then I'd still sell him. Commons is mediocre in Europe anyway.

  6. I think if we did sell him he would use that lad who we have in on loan instead as his replacement.

So you're saying, we'll only ever get 11 'one offs'? We've had a track record of doing great with very little. Our season won't end with the selling of Commons. His goals will be replaced.

Not a bad suggestion. He may turn out to be good but obviously we haven't seen enough of him.

I'm with Marky, I hope he does get replaced though. Not even a like-for-like replacement but someone who could perform by creating and scoring on the European stage.

  8. I don't think we need to sign anyone to directly replace commons, just move mcgregor into the centre (our best player by far so far this season in my opinion) and sign a quality winger.

  9. robert snodgrass ideal replacement

  10. Common was signed for less than £500k.

  11. did he not go to hull for 8million?

  12. * had no idea thought he was supposedly available for 4 or 5. cracking footballer.

  13. Snoddy is with Hull now so we can forget him

  14. I think, not 100% but think, Commons might have the beat goals to game ratio for us than any midfielder ever.

    ILTC, where are you?

  16. Dont sell commons unless we have a replacement lined up straight away and if the replacement is berget lord help us

  17. It was 300k and I've already stated this in a post before, we are not gonna get someone like him for 300k :50:

  18. We have not replaced them players have we, and that's my point. Can you tell me hand on heart we will get an attacking centre mid like commons and will score the amount he has? Cause IMO we will not and do you really think we are going to spend 3M+ on his replacement cause I don't with our track record.

  19. I think lawell is gauging fan reaction. If we dont kick off then he is laughing all the way to the bank. At the minute his job is easy, win spl! Our nearest rivals Aberdeen have not spent 1 penny in 6 years! Why should he???
We all know the emotion that spins round in our heads when a celtic match is on, but to be honest I'm actually losing interest in the bhoys! We are just that *! Ashamed as I am its true...

I'm not saying he will have the impact of Commons last season but Berget is not that bad a player. We have only seen him once and even then he should never have been playing.
