[Link] Kris Commons

Discussion in 'Transfer Rumours' started by lemon difficult, Aug 5, 2014.

  1. I agree, but never expected him to score that many goals. I thought one of our current or a new striker brought in would have chipped in more goals.

  2. Definitely wouldn't sell , watching commons play last season just always seemed to be a step a head of every player the way he used his body to shield and turn with the ball, didn't have the pace but used his head when playing the game and at times made is look incredibly easy , would love to see him in the celtic jersey this season and next

  3. Big fan of Commons bt if we could get 5mil or more for him I would adapt a Dr Evil laugh and gee the board my approval.

  4. We already have a ready made replacement in McGregor so £5 Million would be crazy to turn down.

    Glad someone else thinks that.

For me he is a poor mans Kenny, but that's not a bad thing to be.

for me Kenny was the best in the game at it, in his time,

The biggest * in football was used as a compliment & a complaint

We can't sell commons, he's literally our entire attack. Without him there goes all the genuine creativity in our side. No one else has his brain, his intelligence or vision. Maybe in a few years but right now we depend on him, almost entirely.

Yea, 4/5m is a lot for a 30+ year old, but we are not going to reinvest that in an affordable replacement. Christ, we're crying out for wingers and are getting nowhere, how in the * are we going to find an AMC capable of his goal/assist return?

For once, i'd say we really don't need that money. £10m from Forster is enough. Need to keep some semblance of a nucleus of the team, especially older heads like him.

    Aye, no sale.

  6. crying out for wingers?mubarak.tonev.berget.were all signed recently.

  7. I was meaning we had struggled to find wingers, at least one's we could sign, and who were top of the list. Happy with Tonev, and Mubarak if it is confirmed, but we've had to work hard for these guys, and they are loanees, which is fine, but perhaps suggests we're not 100% convinced by them, which again suggests they weren't the no. 1 and 2 from our transfer target list.

And would call Berget an inside forward, as opposed to a pacey, touchline hugging winger type, if you see what i mean. Think that's what Ronny was after, Berget is just a good signing to him as he can play in a lot of positions.

I wouldn't risk selling commons as i don't believe we have a replacement in the team, nor could we pick one up in time.

  8. You're literally a mongo.

  9. Haha, * you guys...literally

  10. Evening Express.

CELTIC could be dealt two more major blows with reports suggesting Kris Commons and Virgil van Dijk are heading for the Parkhead exit door.

Celtic's top scorer last season Commons was said to been very unhappy at his starting slot on the bench for Celtic's 1-0 Champions League defeat to Maribor on Tuesday night.
The 31-year-old has asked boss Ronny Deila for an explanation, despite appearing as a substitute at half-time.
West Brom were heavily linked with the attacking midfielder.

  11. If West Brom came in with a big bid fair-do's, but selling our 2 best players is asking for trouble.

Did you watch Berget v Maribor he was * awful on the wing I think he should play like Commons right behind our forwards also is it true because I honestly don't know but I was reading a few posts that Tonev is going back to Villa because his injury is worse than expected, I really hope its not true.

  16. Was speaking to my driving instructor last night and he said that John McCluskey (George's Brother) Told him that Deilia told commons he doesnt see him fitting (no pun intended) into his side and that he can look for other clubs. Commons wants to stay saying his family are happy in Glasgow and he loves the club (which is pretty obvious) don't know how much truth is in it, the last part is pretty obvious but the part of Delia telling him he can leave was surprising, brought something to the team when he came on, on Tuesday. Personally My front 4 Would be;
    Mcgregor Commons Wakaso
    Scepovic
