I felt Commons best times as a Celtic player was when he was playing off Hooper, Stokes or both.
The difference between those players and Griffiths is their movement. Griffiths is always looking to dart in behind and rarely comes shot to link up. Stokes/Hooper were happy to drop deep or drift wide to create the space for Commons.

And 84 goals in that time, if I remember right. For a midfielder, that's * excellent.

Just reading an article that said he disagrees with Ronny that the players were scared against Malmo and that they did in fact put 100% effort into the game. He also said that the players didn't know whether to go for the win or hang on for the draw.

Don't agree with Kris, I don't believe I saw 100% effort from the players in either an attacking sense or defensive side. The players shouldn't have to think about their game plan they should always set out to score some goals and make the tie easier. Sitting back and hoping for a draw was not an option last night as they only needed one goal.

He needs to learn to keep his mouth shut tbh, comments like that are good for nobody.

I think it's just his ego doing the talking there.

Nothing wrong with speaking the truth. He'd never be out my starting 11, no matter the competition.

He's not speaking the truth though.

Where was the 100% effort?:56: Come on now. That was one of the most gutless Celtic performances I can remember.

Commons loves himself a bit too much, never shuts the * up. He'll be the next Andy Walker/Craig Burley.

He was awful last night as well, for the umpteenth time. He can't run so he just shoots from anywhere.

Anyone else think he wants to leave or will be sold if he's coming out with comments against the manager?

No otherwise he'd have been off before agreeing a new contract he's just defending himself and team mates I guess. And I agree with the manager the pressure seemed to get to the team that can only explain the performance last night.

Had we had the away leg to Malmo first I think we would have went through easily.

The media are blowing his 'comments' out of proportion.

He must be watching and reading headlines absolutely perplexed because I was. He answered a question and that was it, he didn't defy the Manager as is being insinuated by so many.

Comments such as "we didn't know whether to attack or defend" isn't on for me.

You would like to think that in all the preparation leading up to our most important game of the season that these little details might come up in conversation.

Go over to the touchline and ask the manager...dont just run around for the remaining game time like a goon.

Making excuses if you ask me,they played * and they know it.

Surely they should know when to defend and when to attack?

Its bullshit if they think they were to either go all out and attack or defend.
