This. Armstrong, like Cifti, is more of a project IMO. Commons is the finished article.

 

I like when Johansen and Commons interchange and swap on that right side it's hard to pick them up

 

Because he's a proven top performer for this football club who has scored 70 odd goals in 120 games from midfield and is competing for a place with a guy that has been here 6 months and looked largely average.

 

One of our best players of the last few years.

 

Brilliant when he came on today. Got an assist in a 20 minute cameo the other night.

I would be looking to start him on the left.

 

He has looked really sharp since he came on.

 

We are a far better team with Commons in te line up, there's no doubt in that for me. Look far more dangerous, far more dynamic going forward. By far the cleverest footballer in our team.

 

Huge difference when he came on.

He does offer a different angle of creativity that no other player in the squad can.

The problem arises when he gets frustrated and tries the Hollywood shot over and over.

But aye I would have him start midweek.

 

Seemed to find acres of space that no other player could find.

That's not a coincidence.

 

Got to be in the starting 11 when fit.

 

Game lightened up when he came on seemed to be a lot cleverer than any of our players and had something a bit different, should start against carrier bag.

Been saying for years, our most intelligent player. Easily IMO.
Absolutely MUST start midweek.... Looking very chunky I think . Looks like he could do with losing a bit.

 

Played well when he came on.

Not sure how others feel but I think he's a perfect super sub. I don't want him starting games but when he comes on with 25 minutes left, against a tiring team with more space to work in, he comes alive.

 

Can see what you mean, with his passing, vision and shooting. Teams need to shut him down, as quick as possible.
I'd still start him every game though.

 

Still the most creative player we have.

Should be the first name on the teamsheet.

 

Definitely should start in Azerbaijan.

 

He's banned.

Done a * in the street in Baku a couple of years ago and isn't allowed in the country.
