    I imagine Ronny wouldn't have been too bothered if Commons didn't get that contract extension.

    Of course we all love Commons and we all want him to keep playing but he's probably not the player that Ronny wants with the model we now operate with.

    Mostly down to Kris' age more than anything.

    As does Kris. Why else sign him on a new deal? I fully expect him to be an important player this season. If we continue to go with the 4-2-3-1, I can see him playing on the left hand side or even the right cutting in. People want to ignore him now - Stokes, too - but they're instrumental to our success.

    Adding GMS, Armstrong, and a free of injury Forrest, is interesting and all, but they've yet to prove themselves.

    Commons is in his prime , 31/32 best age for alot of players. Huge player for us , don't know how many times he has to prove it . Has the guile to actually make things happen with the ball , we need that , can't all be workhorses , our game has a hint of the kick and rush about it when he's not in there . Far more effective than Armstrong , the stats will back that up.
