His pass yesterday for Griffiths goal was * excellent, outside of the boot, right into his stride.

His movement is superb aswell. Constantly finds pockets of space around the box , gets between teams defence and midfield. Has the touch to normally be able to get a shot away early or find a pass. He could easily have another "purple patch " season for us next year and grab over 20 goals.

I've never been someone to suck up his * but I'm glad he extended the contract as he is an important player to have about the place. The fact he came of the bench yesterday scored one and assisted another proves that.

However he can be frustrating as * to watch at times.

    This.

He should be a 'super sub' for us.

Ronny should be more aware this season of the tactics opposing sides may deploy against us.

When teams are likely to sit very deep then Commons should play from the start on occasion, he unlocks defences better than any player we have.

His ability to accurately strike the ball early is very important to us too. Get a lead then get the speed merchants on to hit when teams have to come out.

Kris should be much more settled, focussed and effective this season as he has adapted to Ronnys approach.

    Important player for us.

I honestly wouldn't start commons over Armstrong, johanson, gms...a lot of competition in that area this year

Must be 15 odd goals off being a centurion now, is he not?

The Aussies call them thongs. As in "went down to the beach yesterday mate wearing my thongs & budgie smugglers"

I had a wee bit of dry boak as I looked at the big, old, fat guy that said it.

Hopefully Commons still remains a mainstay in the team for next season. I can see him being more of a sub from now on though with Armstrong likely to be the main outlet from herein.

But with the amount of games we have each season, Commons will hopefully be rotated into the squad plenty.

Only 31 still, feels like the guy has been here forever.

Not in a bad way of course, quite the opposite.

Looks like he'll be the next 100 goal hero too :50:

Who was our last midfielder to get to 100 goals?
