Tend to agree with this. Maybe he's realised the team won't be built around him ; like last year and he'll not be afforded such luxuries.
Great player and delighted he's here for foreseeable future. Stick on to score today I think.

 

Kris is one of the most honest , relaxed players in interviews . Doesn't seize up and talk in cliches like most of the other robots, he actually stops and thinks about what he says and responds with a bit of sincerity . Always good to hear from players like that .

Cant say im too bothered, for me he didnt really play his way into the team anyway. Stokes and Johansen still ahead of him for 2 of the 3 roles then we have Henderson, Forrest, Armstrong, Mackay-Steven, Wakaso all waiting to get a game.

I wouldnt play him against Inter either, Guarin, Medel etc it'll be like taking sweeties out a pram for them dispossessing Commons or picking up the ball after it bounces off his shins.

 

Ronnie is always optimistic when a player is injured, with Denayer he said it wasn't a bad injury and the lad was out for weeks. He said the same after the game about Lustig and Commons, now Lustig is out for 3 to 4 weeks and Commons possibly for 2.

Much as I admire Ronnie's enthusiasm, I think he should temper it a bit until he's had the chance to have the injury assessed properly.

 

I am beyond very pleased he signed that new deal,very very very very happy!

 

I'm gutted he may is this game, provides a genuine goal threat at the that level.

Just a sneaky suspicion but I reckon Ronny might not have went with commons ..
Whoever comes in has 2 games to get ready for inter now whether that's Armstrong/ MacKay Steven or anyone and same goes for Matthews..

 

Difficult to say, I reckon he would have started the home game, but just behind Griffiths, not wide right.

Virgil will be our main goal threat and watch Inter foul him at every set-piece.

 

I reckon Johansen will be a stick on for wide right now and we might have Armstrong (depending) just slightly infront of broony and bitton. Will give us more legs box to box and dig.
Yes it takes away a goal threat but my worry has been being to naive and open, might be a blessing in disguise having another who's familiar with that role in the middle and allows Johansen to do his bit on the right where he's comfortable and can drift in..
