    In fairness to Ronny he never said he didn't fit in with his plans, someone on a forum like this probably commented he doesn't fit into Ronnys style of plays and since then it's been taken as gospel yet based on absolutely nothing but guess work.

    I personally don't think right now we are good enough or in a position to unload players of the quality of Kris and if Ronny understands that or always did then that's fine by me.

    Who knows the facts? maybe Lawell and co don't want to offer him more than a year and Ronny has his hands tied all along, as per an earlier comment this type of nonsense thinking about 30+ year old contracts is certainly in place at other clubs eg Arsenal

    Exactly this. There's nothing wrong with Celtic offering a one year extension to keep a player incentivised. We could give him a 2 year contract and he just doesn't bother his * as much as Deila needs him to.

    Exactly this. This is why I am siding with the board and management on this case. If he's confident enough to be as good at 32/33 he should sign the 1 year contract and win another year and maybe another one after that.

    Useless to Celtic if he loses it while he's still got a year or two left.
