Looked like a farewell to the fans today. Reckon he's off.
All the best to him, but he's a long way off the player he was last year.

 

Will be gutted if he does go, just don't understand it at all.

He'll do a great job at Bolton.

Anthony Aundreu is the top scorer in the SPFL, not Commons.

He's been * this season. He slows the play down, takes shots when he should pass and has missed a good few sitters. He never tracks back or presses players as Deila wants him to do even if he is the one who loses the ball, he never presses to get it back, he's lazy.

Though I don't take anything away from him last year, he was immense and was our only goal scorer but this season he's been pish.

Appreciate that Johansen sprints and presses more than Commons does, and that he's generally a better athlete. I like Johansen, but he's simply not as creative as Commons.

If were trying to play attacking football, we shouldn't be ostracising one of our best attacking players.

 

When he goes to Bolton and scores a * load of goals, I wonder how many PL clubs will see him as too old.
Its a joke hes age is even being brought into it, hes 30(or 31) not 36 he still has two good seasons left in him at least. Players that score 31 goals don't just go to *. He deserves the two year contract because he will contribute to the team when he's played like yesterday (assist) and he's replacement will be a lot * worse going by recent replacements.

He is our best player and we will never replace him with an equally as effective player, guaranteed

 

Ronny Deila has quite often not fancied him in the team. Does he know nothing about football? What a silly comment.

 

Johansen creates plenty and gets the ball forward, Commons is a lazy so and so at times and greedy, I think he's a good player and want him to stay but much prefer Johansen in there as tracks back, Commons doesn't and Commons is poor in Europe this has been proven many times.

 

You know fine well I was referring to last season, you for whatever reason don't like him and thats an opinion you are entitled to but you seem to be buying into this stuff Ronny allegedly wants from the team, as far as I am concerned maybe it is that which is wrong and not a player who rarely gets picked, a fair percentage of our performances this season would back that up, this season has been a slog to watch and bar Guidetti and Brown apart only brief glimpses of Commons and young Henderson (another who should play every game) have filled me with optimism.

I'm sure if Commons had a dad with a pub in Dublin he would be untouchable on this forum no matter how * he plays

The fact isn't about his age, the contract on the table means he has to perform each year to a standard to get his money, just cause he was top scorer last season doesn't mean he does not need to try and earn his money. And no he's not our best player, Virgil. Brown, Gordon, Johansen, Stokes all ahead of him. He doesn't perform in europe it's that pure and simple.

I think it was Arsene Wenger who was the first to publicly state a policy of over 30s only getting 1 year contracts, maybe that has contributed to them winning * all in 9 years and probably another 9 years until their next FA Cup glory.

We all know this policy is barmy and. I'm really hoping Ronny has not bought into this pish, this one striker up front is already too much for me.

The Man Utd Fans by all accounts started chanting against one up front yesterday at QPR, eventually Van Gaal went to 2 and they scored a few minutes later, * all these fads over players ages and one up front I say

 

I just think his performance yesterday is what you get from him 9 times out of 10 and proves why he shouldn't be in the team.

He constantly slowed down attacks, misplaced passes, poor touches and worst of all - he is a greedy *. Some of the angles and distances he shoots from...* me it's ridiculous.

His time is up here, time for both parties to move on.
