The Shaktar Karagandy thunder strike springs to mind.

No, but in all seriousness, he needs a send off. I've never been one of those who thought he was a great player (all the comparisons to Lubo seemed laughable to me, but then I've been lucky enough to see Lubo in the flesh); but what he has been is a really good player over a sustained period of time, domestically and in Europe too (absolute nonsense that he couldn't hack it in the CL) and who always gave his absolute best for the fans.

I also think in hindsight his public rant at Ronny in the CL qualifiers looks more and more justified and understandable for a passionate guy who cares about the club.

He really does need a send off.

Definitely one of the highlights of Commons' Celtic career. Watching him lash into the ignoramus in the dugout was a wonderful moment. The fans made it clear who they were backing in that confrontation.

A highlight of a guy who has scored 91 goals for Celtic, big goals in Europe and against the Huns, is getting angry at his coaching staff once?

Is it *. The suggestion itself is embarrassing.

Even if he doesn't play he should just invade the pitch at full time to say goodbye. My favourite celtic player for a good while.

It's definitely a "highlight" of his time at Celtic, even though there are many more positives ones to be remembered first.

It's a lowlight, without a shadow of a doubt for me.

It may be something you wish to actively ignore, or cast aside - but I'm sure in years to come if someone was to be asked about Common's rant at Deila and Collins, most will remember it clearly.

Like I say, it's certainly in no way his defining moment in a Celtic jersey, or any of his main highlights in his Celtic career, but it's definitely a known moment...

No he doesn't. He should never have been given an extension the last time his contract was running out.

Can't wait to see the back of him and watch him fade into obscurity with his old pals Stokes, Hooper and co.

    Disgraceful post.

The man has done nothing but gave his best service to this club as a whole.

You should be embarrassed calling yourself a Celtic supporter hitting out with this utter classless nonsense.

Why? Stokes and Commons spent years here and you could tell they loved the club. They are leaving/left because they weren't needed anymore. I could understand if you felt that way about Hooper(even if I don't agree with it) but why they two?

His best years are definitely behind him, done amazingly well for us. Will always remember his strike against Karagandy and his penalty vs Spartak, 2 huge goals for us. Give him a send off, even last 5 mins off the bench, but I don't think Rodgers will tbh which is fair enough.

This has got to be one of the most disgraceful things I've ever read on here.

Haha sorry, I quoted the wrong bit. The guy you quoted said it was in the CL qualifiers.

He definitely should not have got that extension.

The reason he got it was his playing up to the media, throwing his boots in the crowd - all that *.

Great player for us, a lot of good moments. Not a Celtic great in the slightest.

Served his time and will be remembered, that's life. Doesn't fit into Rodgers ideology, best for both club and player to part company.
