Rogic is actually very good at doing so to be honest, much more effective at it from AM than commons

    Why?

    We didn't/don't need him.

    Need to move on.

I fully appreciate what he done here and he was a terrific servant but there is no longer a place for him in this Celtic team.

No point wanting to shoehorn him in.

    Just cant get enough
Sentiment has no place in a successful team. We even had calls to bring back Stan petrov in the summer. Just accept that he was a good player in his time and move on.

Ofcourse Sammy is. One of our top ever European goal scorers. The best looking head of hair in a celtic top. Could have kept him here for the yearly calender... :56:

Samaras is not a Celtic legend ffs:56:
Why do people say things like this?

Commons has a much better shout at being a legend and he's nowhere near being one either.

Sammy always delivered in Europe and other big games, even though most of the of the support was slating him for not running around like a headless chicken and getting "stuck in" enough.

So that makes him a legend?

He was pish 90% of his time here. Aye he done well in Europe but that's no use when we play another 40 games a season on top of that and he decides to turn up for 4 or 5 of them.

Hes not even a Celtic great or icon, he's a cult figure.

Samaras was good on the field but was one of our best icons off the pitch! That man was the definition of Celtic!

Probably because he's in out top 10 European goalscorers and contributed to some absolute moments over a sustained period. He's still not but I know where people are coming from.

Aye that's fair doos, he did turn up in Europe for us. But he was by no means a top quality player, Lenny just utilised his pace and power down the left and it worked a treat for us.

His career has gone exactly how I thought it would since leaving.

Yeah he loved the club regardless of all of the push he took for stupid * like his hair or being "a big Greek fairy". He was great for most of the games under Lennon as well he got some amount of assists on the left which went unnoticed.

I'd also say we probably wouldn't have got into the Champions League group stages without him in those seasons.

He really wasn't, most of the time under Lenny he was woeful.

Alot of players take the club to their heart despite being no that good, Crosas is another, is he a legend?

A lot of players for us leave and don't do particularly well elsewhere. Look at Hopper and Sammy's main weapon was running at defenders with the ball at pace and the older he gets the less effective he's going to be at that.

I'll admit the first few years he was here I thought he was pish but he won me over massively. He's definitely been one of my favourite players to watch play for us over the last ten years.

He really wasn't just look at his stats he was one of our most effective players under Lennon.

You can't really be comparing Crosas to Samaras ? That's just silly.

Aye 28 assists in 209 games:giggle1: stats worthy of legendary status, eh? For a striker and winger that's woeful I'm afraid.

Comparing Samaras to the legendary figures of this club is just silly, Samaras is closer in status to Crosas than he is a legend.

He's a cult hero just like Crosas.

Also how would you define what a Celtic legend is? If it's just The Lions, Larsson, McGrory, McStay, Dalglish etc then obviously he isn't, but then only about 20 players would be in the bracket of Celtic Legends.
