Hibs would be a perfect move but I'm not sure it will work out regarding £££. He's probably on around £20k/week, and I can't see Hibs paying anyone over £10k/week. Obviously spitballing with those numbers, but you'd get a general sense that with their size and amount of revenue that'd be decently accurate. Not sure they'd be able to afford him unless we take back part of his wage, which I'm not entirely confident PL and Rodgers would want to do. I think any wages that could be put to improving the team, they'll want available for good.

I'd bet Blackburn would be willing to move for him as well.

Hibs wouldn't even get near £10k a week. The top earner at Hibs will be on less than £5k a week easily, hardly any of their players will even be on over £3k if any.

Kris Commons was earmarked for a coaching role at Celtic under Lenny cant see why he cant do the same at Hibs. He'll have to take a massive pay cut but he has to think of his long term future. Him and Lenny are a good fit, signing Commons would guarantee the title for Hibs.

He'd be amazing at hibs but if a championship team came offering 5x the wage of hibs he'll be off down south. He's easily still good enough for another couple seasons.

Yeah I could see Blackburn making a move for him. I cant see him going to Hibs, they wouldn't have the money- its far to big of a pay drop to move there.

I can't see him leaving Scotland. Unless it's for a year and the Mrs and weans stay up here.

    Hope he rejoins Lenny.

He'll move down South unless he's willing to take a huge paycut to go to Hibs.

Hope he gets part of a game before he leaves. Deserves a good send off.

According to press reports, Hibs boss Neil Lennon is looking to push through a loan deal for Celtic midfielder Kris Commons.

The Hibees are said to be set to try to sign the Scotland international on an emergency loan deal.

If the Hibs boss gets his way, the 33-year-old could be signed in time for Saturday's trip to face Morton at Cappielow.

Commons is also said to be keen on the move.

    Speaking today, Neil Lennon said:

“That’s an option and something we are looking at.

“We have to go domestic and can’t go elsewhere for someone short-term.

"We have to get someone as soon as possible and we’ve made some calls.”

Very best of luck to him.

I don't think it will be long before he retires to be honest and I can see a coaching role at Celtic waiting.

I hope he gets one more appreance at celtic park before leaving. I hate when a great celtic servant like him doesn't get the send off he deserves, it happened with Chris Sutton, he was the last great player I remember leaving without a goodbye and I thought that was disappointing.

One of my favourite ever Celts. What a shift we got out of this guy over the course of his stay, for £300k, an absolute steal.
