Commons being being creative enough to play killer passes through defences is also a myth, he's played a few good balls over the top before but he doesn't have it in him to open defences up the way Johansen or even Armstrong can.

Aye he does. We're talking like 10-15 yard passes when someone's open.

My biggest beef about Commons is his decision making in and around the box.

His play comes across as selfish (whether it's intentional or unintentional), taking on shots when the right option is to play in a team-mate. On Sunday he failed on 2 occasions within a matter of seconds to play in Griffiths. He eventually got the ball taken off him and the opportunity was gone.

Commons is definitely a wee bit selfish. It's not always a bad thing to have as a striker, as long as your partner is the opposite. That's why he worked so well with Anthony Stokes/Teemu Pukki during Lennon's final season.

Kris Commons has a killer touch, and is intelligent & lively around the penalty area. Still our most dangerous player.

It was good play to sidestep the defender but it wasn't anywhere near a defence splitting pass.

It was excellent play that took out 1 player and played an inch perfectly weighted pass to take out another, which Bitton finished expertly..

I do agree that he can be overly greedy but he justifies it over and over. He's a major threat and is one of our best assisters, even though he strikes on sight regularly..

This is true, we can also be shot shy as * without him. Plus, he can always score a screamer, not like there's been a lack of them in his time with us.

I think you earn the right to be a bit selfish when you can strike a ball as beautifully as Kris can.

One of my favourite Kris Commons moments is when he practically tackled Sammy and then fired the ball into the top corner against Karagandy :smiley-laughing002:

A classic Celtic goal, and a typical Commons goal.

I know he has his flaws, but I love the guy. Wee chunky * with a bit of a swagger and a bit of cheek about his play. He is a gamechanger capable of providing big moments for us like no other player we have.

I love this guy. One of my current faves. I don't really have a favourite player anymore. Not like when I was a kid.

I get too * off with the team to have a favourite.

That flick through to Griff. :35:

Thought he was pretty average bar that, wish we had someone else for corners though, most of them never looked dangerous.

I'd be tempted to let Griffiths take corners. Only thing with that is he is taken away from the box, however he arguably has the best delivery in the team.

I thought a lot of his corners were absolute peaches. Unusual for Commons too.

That spell in the first half when we had about 5 in a row, every one of them was begging to be attacked.

We had ten in the first half only a couple at most were decent.
