He's not our best player by far, but in top form Bitton, Johansen and Forrest are just as good as Commons. They all have the same problem though which is inconsistency, therefore Brown is our best player because he is certainly our most important player and has been consistent bar a few weeks where he had an injury.

Was the best pish on the field against Molde. Apart from Griff he is our main goal threat.

If Commons was five years younger we would have sold him by now for decent money.

I thought he was poor yesterday. Felt he was quite wasteful in possession first half, but then he bangs in a couple, and his performance can then be overlooked. Great finish for the second goal, and took his penalty well, but in terms of his overall performance, I didn't think it was all that good.

I thought his all round performance was good, he allows us to attack through the middle with the positions he takes up. It wasn't spectacular but it was good, allowed the team to move the ball into dangerous areas and he got a couple of goals.

Was also very unlucky not to get a hat trick.

He was * (as were the whole team) against Molde and he was good (as was the whole team) against Dundee Utd. The last two games shouldn't really be used to judge anyone.

Commons in general has been a great signing for us who is capable of doing the spectacular. He also can be very wasteful and very hit or miss. Sometines that gets looked over because he is capable of being garbage for 90mins and ping one in the back of the net.

Right now he's on form and should be playing but that's not always the case.

First half I felt he gave it away too often. For me, it was a performance that we see a lot from Commons. Not having a particularly great game, but pops up with a couple of goals. Nothing wrong with that of course, says a lot about him the fact he can have a big impact on the game whilst not playing all that well. He was nowhere near as good as some have said on here though I don't think.

    Commons is easily our best
player. He can have some stinkers but if he never he wouldn't be playing for celtic.

He didn't have the killer pass like he usually can on Sunday, I think that was the only thing. I love the way he plays that role though, it allows us to play in the final 3rd. Something we've lacked when Johansen is there and see in splurts with Rogic.

He wasn't amazing but you're right with one thing, Commons can give you a 2/3 goal performance without being amazing.

I disagree about that being the only thing missing, but we'll no split hairs. Another thing as well that should be highlighted in my opinion, is the fact Deila selected him to play. It's been said on here countless times how stubborn Deila is, which I don't agree with, but if he really was that stubborn, there is no chance Commons would have played any part yesterday. Let's hope Thursday night was Lennon's Kilmarnock away so to speak.

I don't actually think he was in a position to not play Commons, the fans would have went balistic. He's not in a strong enough position to do * like that just now.

I think he was, and if he really was as stubborn as some would have you believe, then he wouldn't have played him.

I agree with Murphy88 much of the 1st half I thought he was fairly poor but he took his penalt well and scored a great goal in the 2nd half. Happy he was taken off at 60 minutes though, we need him fresh for Wednesday and I don't think he can play 90 minutes three times a week.

Ok,I'm not sure here, i was watching the molde game on a crap stream on my phone at work, but i didn't think commons threw a strop at Deila at all, but at collins. What i saw was Deila handing him his jacket in the * rain and patting him on the back. Commons seemed ok. When he got to the bench he went mental and started roaring at collins. Afterwards Deila gave out about that and commons apologised. Was there actually any 'bad blood' between commons and Deila?

He was throwing a strop before he even reached the touchline.

As for 'bad blood' I don't buy into that.

Agree with this, they had an argument. Nothing wrong with that, even if Commons should have waited until after the game. It's only bad blood if they don't sort it out afterwards.

There's a picture of Commons with veins popping out of his neck before he was off the pitch :56:
