That is absolute nonsense . Commons had a few good moments and found some good little passes. Found space and slid a clever little ball to get Izzy in behind in the second half . Spread the play beautifully to Armstrong or Izzy three or four times in the first half and won about three corners by finding space and having pot shots that got deflections and went behind . Gave the ball away nowhere near as much as the other two you mentioned .

How on earth can you say Armstrong was far better than Commons last night ?

    A bit of sense finally.

You can also add in the fact he ran into his own player once then ran away without the ball when Brown gave him it in the first half.

He has a higher opinion of his worth to the team than the reality, I think that is the long and short of what happened last night.

If you want to have a go at the management staff there is a time and place for it. That's in the dressing room after the game.

We all like the players to show a bit of fight, but Commons was definitely in the wrong to do it. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a fine.

His worth to the team? Point towards a goal we've scored in the Europa this season that wasn't anything to do with him?

That's worth it's weight in * gold for us. Are we really good enough that the only guy whose setting up and scoring for us in Europe isn't worth much to our team?

Well said . People will always try to find fault with this player , he has been an unbelievably effective player for us over these last five years and gets nowhere near enough respect for it .

In the Europa League, not in Europe.

Although he played about ten minutes at home against Qarabag and assisted the goal that got us through to get molested by Malmo.

Created more goalscoring opportunities in the Europa League than any other player in the competition this season .

Very peculiar argument, Johansen's goal/assist average per game is almost 1 in 1 this Season. What's your opinion of his performances?

He has no right to believe he can't be subbed, if Messi and Ronaldo can be subbed Kris Commons can. If we are going to, as a support, back Commons over this then Deila is as well walking today because without trust in the Manager there is nothing.

Commons is wrong, but I can completely understand why he did it.

Commons and Johanson stood on top of each other the whole game, quite literally at one point. There lack of creating space was our biggest problem. Play broke down constantly when both of them got on the ball. You can name one pass he done.

Armstrong was more of a threat going down the outside which Commons point blank refused to even attempt meaning that we were playing against two back fours with no width on one side, which pushed Lustig so high up the pitch our back too were massively exposed.

If Commons hadn't of scored last night he would have been beside Johanson as worst player on the park. He's supposed to be our creative player and for 69 minutes he created the square root of * all.

I like Commons but if he's not having a good game he's brutal and he wasn't having a good game last night.

I'm not arguing against the sub, I'm arguing against his worth to the team. Commons himself, not any other player. What 'worth' do you think he doesn't bring to the team?

I thought he was the best player on the pitch for us, funny how people can see games.

I honestly think a lot of his frustration come from the fact that it was him, and not Johansen that was subbed. Which I can understand. However, he shouldn't be reacting the way he did.

I accept that what Commons should not have done what he did, however in the heat of the moment and frustration at his own performance, the teams performance and the amount of time it took the management team to make a sub i can understand that his emotions where running high. I don't think we will see Commons again for a while under Ronny

I think people are being naive if they think Commons outburst was solely about being subbed off last night - no chance that's the case imo.

It's the systematic decline of our team under the current coaching setup thats * him off, and I'm glad it has. Far too many meekly accept it.

Haha, yeah. Depends on what your looking for the team to do I guess or what you expect from a player.

I honestly don't know who I thought was the best player. I tbought Bitton and Armstrong weren't as * as everyone else but its not like you could give them a MOTM award. First game in a long time I haven't been able to say that about Griffiths we were just so poor all round last night.

Only one who had a bit of fight in him was Bitton I thought. Commons had a glimpse or two, the rest were poor all around.
