Our best player tonight, especially first half. Really impressed with him and his attitude

 

He should be starting behind the striker before Johansen, based on the latter's form this season.

 

With Johansen off form. I'd like to see an attacking midfield of

Forrest Commons Armstrong

 

That would be the three I'd go for as well.

 

With Armstrong out I'd want Stokes on the left. That won't happen though, so hopefully Allan is back because the small cameo we've seen of him looks like he likes to provide the same type of creativity. Measured play with balls in behind, speedy passing.

 

Must be a regular starter for us - has the experience we need!

 

His assist was superb. Infact he turned and found space a good few time's tonight when we were under pressure. Another delightful ball for Griffiths and set up the corner as well..

Has to be involved centrally at the minute, as tonight showed up the lack of cover that Lustig was receiving defensively..

 

I think commons needs to play, but only supplies an hour a game, right now. If he's played like that i think the fitness will come alongside his guile. That and right now with Johansen looking a bit headless chicken, burning his energy without utilising it effectively I'd say commons needs to play to remove the heat from him

 

Must be a certainty for Sunday.

Don't love him like most but good shift tonight

 

Never been his biggest fan as he frustrates me quite a bit when he's playing but I'd have him starting for us, without doubt. Goal threat which we have lacked. I've not even seen the game tonight yet but by all accounts his experience helped too.

 

Maybe now we can dispell this notion that he cant perform in europe, or slows down the attack. Didnt really think he slowed things down to much when he jinked that ajax defender and then laid in Bitton.

The guy is one of out better players in the final third of the pitch and we always look more like scoring with him on the park.

 

That slows down the attack always perplexes me a bit, he does stuff like this a lot:

I don't think we have another player that quick thinking about going forward, let alone with the ability to pull it off.

 

Aww mate agreed.

He cant half strike a ball on his left foot.
He can play football on the deck, he sets up other players and he scores goals.
And he cost a few hundred thousand. Doesnt get the credit.

 

Not his biggest fan but he's surely our first choice attacking midfielder at the moment. Only one with an ounce of creativity.

Yeah when he's off the boil, he's OFF the boil, but bhoy has wands for feet.

He usually won't last the game, but with guys like Armstrong, Allan and GMS there is always someone who can come in too.

 

One of the first picks in the side. Showed his manager up last night with that performance.

 

You can moan a bit about Commons at times, but the fact is he does produce a lot of chances and goals.

A class act once again providing the creative spark in the team. Get him in the 10 role and get johansen benched and we will start strolling games domestically .
