I believe the manager always needs to win a player vs manager thing. However, personally, Commons had gave me far more enjoyment and he has gave Celtic far more than Deila, so I would rather have a different manager.

However, if it did come down to a decision like that, I'm sane enough to recognise it's Deila everytime.

If they don't, then they are as good as gone mate.

I know mate. That's why the manager should always win.

But I'd have rather had Henrik with us than Martin O'Neill. I'm taking it more on that level, if you get me?

Commons is a greedy & selfish player.
He is a decent standard, but he is not & never was as good as Lennon made cliché.

Robbie Keane's Celtic goal stats also appear as impressive.
But like Commons, you might want to take away the penalties for the more realistic performance and for any fair comparison.
Especially for comparison purposes because, unlike someone like Larsson for example, neither Keane or Commons personally earned most of the penalties awarded.

    Stats can sometimes mislead!

I honestly don't understand the criticism Kris takes. He's always a threat, could have a * game for 85 minutes but has the ability to pick something out of nowhere. Where was all the criticism last year?

Kris has to do more if the manager wants us to be a high pressure possession based football team.

I love Kris and i hope he some how can fit in but up until now hes become a liability.

He often has the worst passing ratio out of the whole Celtic team at around 50-60% ..which is ok for the SPFL but horrific in Europe.

Ronny and Collins know this and i believe this is the reason Kris has been dropped so much this season so far..he just doesn't have the legs to last a full 90 minutes .

Lets hope tonight when he plays he gets a hatrick before he gets subbed at halftime :smiley-laughing002:

I still think Commons will be a big part of a treble win this campaign and hopefully a decent run in the Europa.

Don't want him starting tonight. Apart from his goal (which was superb, btw) he was awful against Zagreb. I would leave him on the bench for this one. If however things arent going our way he should definitely be brought on, no doubt when on his game he's a great influence to the team.

To be fair he tries much more difficult passes than most of our players.

still find it completely unbelievable that commons gets stick on this forum , guy is a class act , our best player and has scored 70 (yes seventy) goals in 130 odd games , and thats from midfield. Some of the goals he has scored for this club have been unbelivable as well as hugely important . Ridiculous that he isn't appreciated , baffles me.

Just because we want the best for the football club doesnt mean Commons isnt appreciated.

Yes he done well for the club to date, however he is 31 with no pace in his game. Players do have shelf lives, and commons might not be worth a large contract extension.
