gonna try and watch the recorded game tommorow was at the game

but we were stinking 1st half till commons scored, mulgrew was * abysmal

2nd half much better upped the pace and were at them from the off

need mjalby to sort the defence out they were giving me heart scares during the many freekicks corners kicks and thow ins karagandy had

samaras was excellent, i thought forrest had a great game running at them beating them but his crosses werent the best something to work on, liked him playing on the left seemed more dangerous

thought stokes was non existant in the game, didnt think commons had much of a game either ledley and brown were quiet but played diciplined roles didnt seem to get forward

funny how we see things differently

stokes run and cross for the winner was brilliant i found myself thinking where the * did that come from stokesy, i guess he owed us that after the poor misses

The Commons goal changed the game. Our players got a huge lift, Karagandy started to doubt themselves and Celtic Park erupted. He deserves all the credit in the world.

He is a very important player. I'll be honest, up until the goal, I thought he was rotten. Had given the ball away far too often, and was just very wasteful I thought.

But then he comes up with a moment of magic, and had it not been for that, I reckon we would have been looking forward to a season without Champions League football. He is a match winner, pure and simple. Scores a lot of big goals, and is invaluable to us at the minute.

Had to go back 3 pages to get a thread on this man, really?

Been very good lately and was again today..
The way he twists and turns and takes 2/3 players out of them game with intelligence rather than pace(which he lacks)is class!

Got his 40th goal for us against Motherwell, some amount of goals in the time hes been here from midfield. Scored more goals for us than Lubo and done it in less games.

Hasnt really been praised by anyone either, his consistancy has just become expected.

Kris needs two big games against Ajax. Looked lost in both Champions League games so far, put in a shift against Barcelona but not good enough at all.

Having watched Commons for both Celtic and Scotland, he really isn't all that when it comes to playing against top class sides. I wasn't at all down when he retired from International Football.

He's top class domestically though of course.

Same, does nothing for Scotland. I can't even remember seeing him play for us. It annoys me that people hype him and Stokes up so much because they play amazing against Hibernian and that. I love having them in the league, but people can't moan when they are on the bench in Europe.

Spot on. Only thing I would say about Stokes is that we've signed so poor since Hooper in that area of the pitch that he's now our best option.

    Well, that lasted long Kris.

Celtic midfielder Kris Commons has opened the door to a possible return to the Scotland national team.

Commons ended his international career in May to focus on his family life and his club football with Celtic. But he says he would not rule out making a dramatic U-turn and featuring again for Gordon Strachan’s side.

Commons told the BBC Scotland website last night: “I never left on bad terms. If there was an opportunity to return in the near future where I felt I could offer something to Scotland I’d certainly think about it.

“I always keep an eye on the results and who’s playing. I always wish our boys the best. But at this moment I’m just concentrating being the best I can be for Celtic.

“A lot of people do have second thoughts, and I think when I am playing the way I am, I could offer something.

“I’m 30 years old now and I think that the little time I do get to spend with my family, and go on holiday and stuff like that, it’s benefited me more and I am putting in better performances week in, week out for Celtic.”

It would be good news for the Scottish national side, not so much for Celtic.I know what I'd rather.

The lack of caps he has for Scotland is criminal given his quality. He would be one of the first guys I'd be picking to start as Scotland manager.

    12 caps (2 goals) between August 2008-May 2013.

    Not very good at all.

Especially when players such as Alan Hutton (first capped just 1 year before Commons) have 35 caps and don't get consistent club football.

I think that tells you more about the SFA than it does Commons in all honesty.

I suppose no-one here saw his lovely backheel against Barca? Or the way he dictated the midfield against Milan. People say he's not good enough for Europe, you forget if it wasn't for him we wouldn't even be in Europe this season.

Commons is massively underrated. If he had pace or was called Comminho he'd be a 25 million pound man for Borussia Dortmund or Chelsea.

...But he doesn't have pace so really he's rated just about where he should be.

Agree, Commons technical ability is up there with (not as good as before you jump down my throat) Lubo's, if he had pace he'd be incredible.

Although I do rate Commons, I don't think his technical ability is near Nakamura's nevermind Lubo's

    Commons is 30?

I knew he was one of the older members of the squad, but I still thought he was only 27 or 28.
