    We need to give this guy a fair chance, the impact he had last year was superb. If we're going to win the SPL title we need a strong pool of players, Chris Commons will come good again between now and the end of April.:50:

    When evaluating who our best player is, I would say you have to take in to account more than someone's on form capability with consistency being a key factor to be considered. Consistency is a problem with Commons and I would also say he looks slower than he was last year for whatever reason and pace wasn't one of his best attributes when he was playing well last year. It may be purely down to fitness but he's looked poor to me in the games he's played this season and his tackle at Tynecastle put us in the *, even more so than we were already at that time.

    Here's hoping he can rediscover the form of last season but I have my doubts based on what I've seen so far.

    Ye but commons was consistently brillant for us the whole second half of the season ! literally from the minute he was on the park agaisnt aberdeen and scored tt peach . As thy say form is temporary class is permant . we will see him back to his bst !

    History also suggests commons does this at every club he goes to as well though. I hope he does get back to his best but I'm not holding my breath.

    So if someone said to you that you have to lose either Commons playing at peak form or Kayal / Izzy at peak form, you would rather lose Kayal / Izzy?

    Strange one that but everyone's entitled to their opinion.

    I wouldn't say he was our best player, not by a long shot actually considering the talent being showcased just now. He is, when on form however, absolutely deadly from midfield.
